The Role

The Communications Lead for Kyndryl US is responsible for cultivating an engaged workforce and building and protecting the company's reputation among key external stakeholders. A member of the Global Communications team within Corporate Affairs, this individual works closely with subject matter experts, business leaders, and internal and external partners to plan, develop, and execute a comprehensive communications platform aligned to the company's business goals. The incumbent will lead the creation of compelling communications content, including speeches, visual presentations, blogs, scripts, press releases, press kits, newsletters, digital assets, and more.

Responsibilities

  • OVERALL: Develop, create, and deploy strategic content that clearly communicates Kyndryl’s business priorities, raises the profile of its business leaders, and deepens its stakeholders’ understanding of and belief in Kyndryl.

  • MEDIA RELATIONS: Create compelling and effective content, such as press releases, press kits, newsletters, and related communications materials. Manage the development and creation of briefing documents, talking points and related materials for Kyndryl US leaders. Identify and execute on strategic opportunities for Kyndryl US leaders.

  • EMPLOYEE COMMUNICATIONS: Gain deep understanding of employee cohorts and develop relevant content to inspire and motivate them around Kyndryl's mission and purpose. Clearly communicate Kyndryl's transformation objectives and progress against those objectives to employees. Produce newsletters, blogs, videos, social media posts, and/or other engagement vehicles. Produce live events, virtual and in-person, including town halls and employee trainings.

  • STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT: Establish and maintain a solid internal and external network of collaborators and stakeholders, including senior executives. Collaborate with senior business leaders, provide advice and counsel, and articulate an informed point of view on how strategic communications can advance the business goals of Kyndryl's US business.

  • CHANNEL MANAGEMENT: Maintain complex mailing lists; manage internal SharePoint pages, online employee communities, and newsletters; advise on stakeholder communications; and oversee and refine social media strategies.

  • MEASUREMENT: Measure and assess data to evaluate and evolve approaches to making data-driven recommendations for improving communications programs. Analyze audience to understand strategic positioning, messages, and mediums that will be most effective. Use data to understand behaviors and sentiment, and to create programs that engage audiences with relevant information through a content and delivery ecosystem.

  • EXECUTIVE EMINENCE: Assess potential speaking opportunities for key executives and pitch new speaking opportunities. Shape and execute the executive’s speaking role, and work with event organization on content, amplification plans, and logistics. Provide onsite or real-time support as needed. Create and maintain executive engagements calendar in partnership with executives and broader Corporate Affairs team in US and globally.

If you are hired, the anticipated compensation range for the position $71,240 to $162,430 is based on a full-time schedule. Your ultimate compensation may vary depending on your geography, job-related skills and experience. For part time roles, the compensation will be adjusted appropriately.

If this is a sales role, you may be eligible for additional incentive compensation opportunities. For non-sales roles, you may be eligible for Kyndryl’s Growth Driven Profit-Sharing plan.

Kyndryl currently does not require employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, however, if you are hired to work at a client, customer, or partner location, you may be required to show proof of vaccination to align with their respective COVID-19 vaccination policies. Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a similar or relevant position and function required.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strong influencing, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.

  • Demonstrated experience translating complex ideas into a wide range of relevant, compelling communications.

  • Strong executive presence, business acumen.

  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with journalists and generate positive press coverage.

  • Creative, clear strategic thinker with strong research, writing and editing skills.

  • Expert on, or intellectual curiosity for, Kyndryl’s enterprise technology industry expertise and its evolving position in the business world and society.

  • Ability to collaborate with people across a large, global organization.

  • Knowledgeable about broader internal and external communications trends and how different mediums are evolving.

  • Strong command of English. Knowledge of other languages a plus.

  • Prefer experience working in an international environment with various diverse backgrounds and cultures.
