As a SOC Analyst L1, you will play a critical role in securing the systems and data that power organizations around the world. What Will You Do?

As a SOC Analyst L1, your role will focus on three main responsibilities that are critical to securing networks, systems, and data for our clients:

• Network Configuration and Monitoring:
  You’ll be at the frontline of protecting our clients' infrastructure. This means configuring and monitoring networks to ensure they’re secure and running optimally. You’ll actively manage network performance, detect issues, and mitigate cyber threats to maintain the integrity of critical systems. Your vigilance here will help prevent malicious attacks before they escalate.

• Risk Assessment and Management:
  Your role will involve assessing and managing IT risks to ensure the systems our clients rely on are secure. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to develop and implement security policies that protect valuable data. By predicting and preventing potential security breaches, you’ll ensure that our clients are always one step ahead of evolving threats.

• Security Innovation and Incident Response:
  At Kyndryl, we value innovation in everything we do. As part of your job, you’ll explore new ways to analyze and interpret security data, helping us identify patterns and risks. You’ll also play a critical role in responding to security incidents, performing initial threat analysis, containing threats, and escalating to higher-tier analysts when needed. Your contributions here could directly shape the future of how we approach cybersecurity.

In addition to these core responsibilities, you’ll also collaborate with your team to generate reports, document incidents, and contribute to a broader strategy for continuous improvement in cybersecurity.

Who You Are

Required Skills and Experience

• 3 to 7 years of experience in cybersecurity or related fields, with a focus on log monitoring & analysis, incident triage & escalation, and incident response procedures.

• Hands-on experience with SIEM tools such as QRadar or Splunk for monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security incidents.

• Basic knowledge of malware analysis and network traffic analysis to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.

• Experience utilizing threat intelligence to detect and respond to emerging threats effectively.

• Strong understanding of security standards like ISO 27001, NIST, and other best practices related to information security and risk management.

• Ability to analyze and translate business requirements into security controls, and implement them within a security management framework.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Certifications like CRISC, CISM, CISA, CISSP, or similar advanced credentials related to cybersecurity and risk management.

• Experience with statistical analysis and models to analyze security data trends and performance.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint) and other productivity tools for security-related tasks.

• Project management experience in managing security initiatives or projects related to risk management or compliance.

• Experience with advanced malware analysis, network traffic analysis, and incident response procedures
