Who We Are

At Kyndryl, we design, build, manage and modernize the mission-critical technology systems that the world depends on every day. So why work at Kyndryl? We are always moving forward – always pushing ourselves to go further in our efforts to build a more equitable, inclusive world for our employees, our customers and our communities.

The Role

At Kyndryl, we don't just manage projects—we create lasting partnerships and deliver transformative results for our clients. As a SOC Project Manager, you’ll be at the heart of it all, overseeing the delivery of cutting-edge security operations projects that ensure the resilience and security of our clients' digital ecosystems. You’ll be the driving force behind every project, working directly with clients and teams to deliver on time, on budget, and with top-tier quality.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Leading the Delivery of Major SOC Projects: You’ll be responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of security operations projects. From initial planning and risk management to resource allocation and final delivery, you’ll be the go-to person ensuring that everything runs smoothly. You’ll work closely with stakeholders, managing expectations and ensuring that all aspects of the project are executed with precision. Your project plans will be your roadmap, but your flexibility and ability to adapt to changes will make sure the project stays on track no matter what.

  • Managing Teams, Timelines, and Resources: As the main point of contact for the client, you’ll be coordinating cross-functional teams, including technical experts and account managers, to make sure each team member is aligned and working toward the same goals. Your calendar will be packed with meetings, but you’ll make sure everything is running efficiently. You’ll lead status calls, planning sessions, and cadence meetings, ensuring that the project is always moving forward and that any potential roadblocks are addressed quickly. You’ll also be responsible for managing project finances, ensuring that the project stays within budget and that resources are allocated effectively.

  • Building Strong Client Relationships and Managing Stakeholder Communication: Communication is key in this role. You’ll be the client’s trusted advisor, serving as the main point of contact for all things project-related. You’ll build and nurture strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring that their needs are met and expectations exceeded. You’ll also be the bridge between the client and internal teams, making sure that communication flows smoothly and that everyone is aligned on project goals. Your diplomatic approach to handling customer change requests will ensure that clients feel heard and supported at every stage.

This role also offers immense potential for career growth. Whether you see yourself becoming a senior project manager, a program manager, or transitioning into a technical service architect, Kyndryl provides the platform for you to expand your skill set and explore a variety of career paths. You’ll gain hands-on experience, earn professional certifications, and build relationships that will last a lifetime.

Your Future at Kyndryl

Every position at Kyndryl offers a way forward to grow your career. Whether you want to broaden your knowledge base or narrow your scope and specialize in a specific sector, you can find your opportunity here. We have opportunities that you won’t find anywhere else, including hands-on experience, learning opportunities, and the chance to certify in all four major platforms.

Who You Are

You’re good at what you do and possess the required experience to prove it. However, equally as important – you have a growth mindset; keen to drive your own personal and professional development. You are customer-focused – someone who prioritizes customer success in their work. And finally, you’re open and borderless – naturally inclusive in how you work with others.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 5+ years in SOC Analyst Role: Proven experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) role, ideally Tier 2 or Tier 3, with significant expertise in incident response and analyzing complex security threats.

  • Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar), IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint protection systems.

  • Incident Handling Expertise: Demonstrated ability in incident escalation, containment, and remediation, ensuring effective response to security breaches.

  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong capability to analyze and correlate security data, identify emerging patterns, and make data-driven decisions to mitigate risks.

  • Project Management Skills: Experience in managing projects, with familiarity in SCRUM or Project Management methodologies. Ability to handle timelines, resources, and risks effectively.

  • Fluency in English: Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (or other relevant language, depending on location), especially when engaging with stakeholders.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Certifications: PMP, PRINCE2, or similar advanced project management certifications.

  • Experience with Project Management Software: Proficiency in MS Project or other project management tools to track, schedule, and manage project timelines.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Ability to interact confidently and effectively with stakeholders at all levels, from technical teams to executive management.

  • Organizational and Planning Skills: Exceptional ability to structure and plan projects, ensuring all moving parts align with project objectives.

  • Customer-Focused Mindset: A strong focus on ensuring customer success and satisfaction, making sure all projects deliver value to the client.
