Microsoft Investment Optimization (MIO) finance team is an exciting and fast-evolving team at the forefront of Microsoft’s Cloud-first strategy. Our business facing Controllership team is part of the broader Margin Strategy Investment Operations (MSIO) org and partners closely with engineering leaders across The Cloud and Artificial Intelligence (C+AI) group, with the goal of optimizing investments and resource allocation. The Senior Finance Manager will be a motivated professional who will be the subject matter specialist on the Headcount Center of Excellence for the C+AI org.

Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the headcount rhythm (close, budget, forecast) for C+AI
- Continuously improve C+AI rhythm of business processes to drive automation, efficiency, prioritization, and cross team collaboration.
- Partner with MSIO Central team, Central Finance Team, Global Talent Acquisition and with broader MIO Controllership team to achieve excellence in Headcount and Industry/College Pipeline management.
- Manage and maintain the C+AI Work Force Plan, providing insights on headcount activity which will inform the Quarterly Forecast. Align on assumptions with all key stakeholders across Engineering Finance and Central Finance.
Required/Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 6+ years post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership or Finance work experience
- OR Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 4+ years post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance work experience
- OR equivalent experience.
- 1+ year(s) experience in multinationals with multi-product/multi-segment finance roles.
- 1+ year(s) work experience in matrix-based organization.
- 1+ year(s) work experience in the technology or software industry.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Association of Certified Chartered Accountant (ACCA) or equivalent certification.
