The Deal-Making Strategy Team within Deal Desk Excellence is a deeply connected team partnering across Microsoft to develop deal-making strategies, build and deliver guidance and readiness solutions, and support our global Deal Desk community. As a Deal Desk Director, Terms and Conditions Strategy team member, you will play a critical role in enabling our organization to negotiate balanced terms and conditions with our most strategic, global customers while also building the strategy for how we deliver Deal Desk terms and conditions into the Microsoft Customer Agreement.

Responsibilities

  • Subject Matter Expert: You will be the single point of contact driving strategic partnerships across stakeholders for the Deal Desk including Corporate External Legal Affairs (CELA), engineering, and business planning. As a subject matter expert, your focus will be on owning policies, deal guidance, and negotiation strategies for all contractual terms and conditions across products and services.
  • Readiness Delivery: Ongoing proactive readiness to the global team, including guidance on new or updated strategies helping to drive deal agility and manage risk when negotiating contracts with customers.
  • Program Management: As Microsoft continues to increase the adoption of the Microsoft Customer Agreement, you will lead and partner with others to build the strategy for terms and conditions while striving for standardization and reporting capabilities that will influence future empowerment and contracts.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Operations, Finance or related field and 8+ years work experience in program management, process management, process improvement
    • Or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated problem solving skills.
  • Proven ability to work well with cross-functional groups and virtual teams, and to effectively collaborate with others to achieve important objectives.
  • Solid presentation skills.

Business Program Management IC6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $129,200 - $273,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $162,000 - $299,400 per year.
