In the Customer Success Data & AI team, we are looking for people with a passion for delivering customer success. As the Analytics Cloud Architect Manager - Americas Leader, you will run a team of Cloud Solution Architects (CSA) who enable our customers to achieve their outcomes through our two engines of Customer Success Unit (CSU) Migration Factory (CMF) and Unified Enhanced Solutions. Our team is also responsible for designing, developing, and landing the overall business and technical strategy for how the hundreds of field CSAs across the globe engage and deliver customer outcomes through our Analytics portfolio. In addition, you will partner closely with Sales, Marketing, and Engineering to influence product and go to market strategy for our Analytics solutions. Leveraging your leading technical team’s expertise, you will drive the team to ensure customers get value from their Microsoft investments. Azure is the most comprehensive, innovative, and flexible cloud platform today and Microsoft is hiring professionals that will drive customer cloud adoption of our Analytics offerings within the most important companies in the market.

Responsibilities
- Hire, on-board, develop, coach, mentor and evaluate an Analytics-focused CSA team, effectively set a clear bar for excellence; build a high performing team that will be diverse and inclusive.
- Must possess exceptional cross-team collaboration and communication. Partner with all required Microsoft stakeholders across the organization to drive CSA role clarity, project assignment and effective cross-team collaboration
- Coach and enable your team and the Customer Success field teams to accelerate Azure Analytics projects to production, including guidance on architectural design, technical recommendations, hands on development of Proof of Concepts (POC) and Minimum Viable Products (MVPs), blocker escalations and technical resource orchestration
- Lead your team to create repeatable IP / best practices that can be shared and replicated with the Customer Success field teams across regions to enable larger scale impact
- Drive product improvement and influence roadmap with Engineering through deep technical insights
- Drive team operational excellence, including timely consumption opportunity management, escalation management, and high-quality reporting and insights
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and thought leader for Analytics workloads to internal stakeholders and business review forums; contribute to the effective development and landing of the Analytics strategy and execution guidance for the field CSAs

Professional Expertise
- Proven experience in growing and mentoring a team of CSA's or similar is essential, preferably managing geographically disperse teams across time zones, as well as gained in other leading software and/or services companies/competitor environment
- Proven track record in technical sales, engineering or consultative delivery services, with notable expertise in the Analytics space
- Collaboration - Proven ability to generate trust, build alliances, and orchestrate interdisciplinary teams to the benefit of customers
- Communication - Thought-leader with executive presence, including the ability to hold CxO and BDM level discussions, exceptional interpersonal, verbal, written and presentation skills
- Proficient and relevant technical understanding of Analytics, including Analytics enterprise cloud workloads
- Demonstrated understanding of Azure Analytics Platform (or equivalent) – Azure Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Lake Storage, Power BI, SQL Datawarehousing, Snowflake on Azure
- Empathy, curiosity, and desire to constantly improve, acquire new skills and drive for results
- Demonstrated Technical leadership through prior technical coaching/leadership roles
- Ability to act on Customer Escalation and needs, unblock the customer through orchestration of right resources at the right time
- Strategy development and rollout. Experience developing and landing sales strategies or other business strategies for data platform and analytics solutions
- Business Results accountability. Experience in roles that had primary accountability for business results including revenue targets and KPI execution
- Market insights. Understanding of enterprise-scale technical solutions with Azure Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, or equivalent
- Market Maker. Leadership to influence key technical decision makers, influencers, business decision makers and peers
- Performer. Highly driven passionate person who consistently exceeds goals and expectations
- Growth Mindset. Experience and passion for learning (technical and soft skills); implementing practices from others; trying, failing and learning from that; sharing practices and knowledge for others’ benefit
Required/Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Liberal Arts, or related field AND 8+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, information technology (IT) consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting
- OR equivalent experience.
- 3+ years people management experience, including managing consultant practice managers, technical sales managers, and/or technical architect managers.
- 5+ years experience leading teams with enterprise-scale technical delivery experience with Azure Analytics Services including Azure Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Data Factory, Power BI, architecture design
- 5+ years experience leading teams creating Analytics Proof of Concepts (POC) and Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) and supporting production deployments.
