In the Enterprise & Security group, we are responsible for securing our users’ identity and data from ever increasing threats. We build operating system technologies that protect our users and secure our users’ data. The Enterprise & Security group in ILDC focused on certificate trust, key isolation, application isolation, crypto algorithms, and secure boot technologies across Windows and Linux. We supply the most fundamental building blocks across products lines at Microsoft. The Enterprise & Security group that handles this critical domain in ILDC is expanding, and you have an opportunity to join us.

Qualifications


Required Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of Technical Product Management background.
  • Experience working closely with R&D teams, including engineers, architects, and data intelligence teams.
  • Experience in the Cyber Security domain and a strong understanding of cyber security principles, including threat modeling, risk assessment, and security best practices.
  • Experience in managing technical projects, from planning to execution
  • Strong technical background
  • Strong understanding of cyber security principles, including threat modeling, risk assessment, and security best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to write clear and concise functional specifications and guide a feature through the entire development and release cycle.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in operating systems
  • Experience with cryptography and data protection solutions.

Responsibilities

You will work closely with Research & Development (R&D) and Data Intelligence teams, PM counterparts, internal customers, and external partners to ensure seamless and effective collaboration. Developing and driving the security vision and roadmap, as well as setting priorities for the security features being developed within the ILDC, is a critical aspect of the role. This involves not only defining clear objectives and key results but also breaking them down into actionable work items for the team. An important part of this role is the collection and analysis of data from Engineering Systems and various other sources to compile and interpret metrics related to security features. By collaborating and coordinating with multiple teams, you will ensure that there is a consistent alignment in product and service development, ongoing management, necessary adjustments, and continuous improvements. Moreover, you will play a pivotal role in the planning cycles, including triaging and managing comprehensive work plans to ensure that all initiatives are on track and meeting the established goals.
