Overview
Online Advertising is one of the fastest growing businesses on the Internet today. Microsoft is innovating rapidly to grow its share of this market by providing the advertising industry with a world-class online advertising platform and service. The Bing Ads team is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining a diverse family of services and components—from Web UI to large-scale distributed data storage, from data analysis pipelines to machine-learning systems, from end user apps to a geographically-scaled real-time ad selection engine that serves billions of requests each and every day. We are looking for a strong engineer to work in the Bing Ads online platform that is responsible for serving Ads to all the partners. This position provides opportunity to design and implement in both online ads serving and offline/nearline data processing and analysis of our big data pipelines.
Qualifications
- BS/MS/PhD in CS or related engineering field
- 5+ years in C/C++/C#/Java product development experience
- Strong Data Structures, Algorithm fundamental
- Strong Problem Solving and System Design Skills
- Passionate, self-motivated
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain key system components across all stacks of the Ads Delivery Engine.
- Collaborate closely with other Ads teams to solve challenging problems.
- Utilize the latest technologies to develop innovative solutions.
- Ensure the solutions developed bring significant value to the business.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, and deployment.
- Continuously improve the performance, scalability, and reliability of the Ads Delivery Engine.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers to help them grow in their careers.
