Overview

The Global Partner Solutions (GPS) team is a sales organization accountable for the commercial partner business at Microsoft, and the mission is to build and sell Microsoft Cloud applications, services and devices with partners, empowering people, and organizations to achieve more.

As a Partner Development Manager, you are expected to bring your strong work ethic, enthusiasm, optimism, and customer-centric passion to stimulate growth and transformation within our partner ecosystem. Your challenger mindset, sales management expertise, technological and industry knowledge, and superior interpersonal skills will be crucial in enabling our partners to deliver market-leading solutions to our customers. This role offers a chance to fast-track your career growth as you engage with partner organizations, establish robust relationships in the C-Suite, and collaborate with multiple stakeholders to boost performance and tackle complex issues. You will act as the Chief Revenue Officer for your partners' commercial performance, driving sustainable sales impact from your partners to customers, and acquiring end-to-end solution selling expertise.

Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Operations, Computer Science or a related field AND 5+ years experience in partner sales management, sales & business development in the technology industry OR equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

Partner Strategy - As a Partner Development Manager, you are accountable for the overall partner strategy and building a Partner Business Plan to deliver KPIs.

You develop and drive the strategy of the business between your portfolio of partners and Microsoft, across segments and workloads. You reflect this strategy in an impactful partner business plan that aligns partner business goals with MSFT mission, culture, priorities & targets. You execute a high impact ROB aligned to this PBP with a focus on performance and growth. You also demonstrate an expert understanding of our partners’ business & profitability structures and convey the value of partnering with Microsoft based on the joint market opportunity.

Partner Sales – As a Partner Development Manager, you deliver Partner Sales performance to ensure delivery of Partner Targets.

Based on the partner strategy & targets, you accelerate sales performance and help drive pipeline creation/progression as well as deal closure. You develop a co-sell & GTM plan with your partners and follow-up on the execution of the plan and the acceleration of the pipeline, according to the MCEM process. You facilitate partner connection to our segment & solution sellers. You drive partner deal sharing, both inbound and outbound, with the intent to increase program usage, enable the right staffing & push for quality of delivery to accelerate sales cycles & increase win rates.

Partner Execution - As a Partner Development Manager, you drive Partner utilization of programs and investments delivering ROI & expected outcomes.

To accelerate partner performance, innovate and provide value to customers through partners, you maintain a Rhythm of Business (ROB) (QBR, Sales, Exec adoption & execution of relevant and impactful programs) and assess the growth curve and situational business elements to identify the right investments​.
