In the Senior Change Manager role, you will drive the exploration of new initiatives, pilot new processes, drive process improvements, and implement new technologies supporting our datacenter programs. By working with teams across the datacenter profession, you will be helping others, organize programs, and communicate effectively to support organizational change warranted by positive pilot and initiative outcomes. You will be working with leaders across our teams to drive adoption and otherwise influence the future of how Microsoft's Cloud infrastructure is delivered and works across our datacenters!
Qualifications
Required Qualificationa:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance or related field(s) AND 6+ years work experience in datacenter related program management, process management, process improvement
- OR equivalent experience.
Other Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
This position requires verification of citizenship due to citizenship-based legal restrictions. Specifically, this position supports United States federal, state, and/or local government agency customers and is subject to certain citizenship-based restrictions where required or permitted by applicable law. To meet this legal requirement, and as a condition of employment, the successful candidate’s citizenship will be verified with a valid passport.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Project and Program Management skills and acumen or related certifications (i.e. Project+, PMP, Six Sigma, etc.)
- Change or Release Management skills and acumen or related certifications (i.e. PROSCI, ITIL v4 Practitioner: Release Management, ITIL Foundation: Release, Control, and Validation, etc.)
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute multiple tasks and projects with minimal oversight
- Demonstrated ability to work in ambiguous situations and across organizational boundaries
Responsibilities
- Identify and scope opportunities for new datacenter-centric programs and improvements, lead root-cause analysis, program strategy definition, requirement gathering, and project planning.
- Work with cross-functional stakeholders to develop datacenter-centric initiatives from initiation to delivery. Identify program or process risks and develop mitigation plans. Lead the development of collateral and training for key stakeholders.
- Evangelize new datacenter-centric initiatives, pilot efforts, technology(ies) etc. with stakeholders, using data and performance metrics, to demonstrate value and advocates + influence sponsorship to execute plans that align with business goals, Objectives & Key Results (OKRs) etc.
- Lead others to understand the impact to people, processes, technology, and systems, and collaborate with many teams, stakeholders, and partners to ensure maximum benefit from your initiatives, pilot efforts, new technology(ies), tools, etc.
- Collect and evaluate success criteria and performance metrics of new datacenter-centric initiatives, pilot efforts, new technology introductions, etc. using scorecards and dashboards.
- Define and execute release and communication plans for implementation of successful initiatives, pilot efforts, new technology(ies) etc. ensuring stakeholder adoption as required by the business.
