We are looking for a Senor Program Manager (Technology Transformation & Analytics) to lead our digital transformation initiatives in the Infrastructure Delivery business. This is a fabulous opportunity to join a dynamic team and influence one of the world’s largest and fastest-growing Cloud Infrastructure environments, to drive the digital transformation of the construction business processes and its dependencies and interfaces to improve productivity and cost. You will be a program manager leading various technology adoption efforts for Construction, working cross-functionally within Microsoft and third-party suppliers to implement technical solutions. This role is a highly collaborative role, where you will need to work across the Microsoft Cloud organization at all levels to drive the delivery of key initiatives and strategic programs & projects that supports construction digital transformation efforts. The ideal candidate will love taking on multiple big challenges and aligning diverse teams to an expected outcome.

Microsoft Cloud Operations + Innovation (CO+I) is the team behind the cloud. CO+I is responsible for delivering over 200 Microsoft web portals, Live and Online Services worldwide, including infrastructure, security, compliance, operations, globalization, and manageability. Our focus is on smart growth, high efficiency, and delivering a trusted experience to customers and partners worldwide. Within CO+I, the datacenter (DC) construction team, responsible for delivering datacenter capacity for Microsoft’s cloud business worldwide. We have a portfolio of complex, multi-disciplinary, multi-million, multi-year datacenter construction projects spread around the globe, and ensuring preconstruction activities including due diligence and constructability are addressed appropriately is critical to the timely and optimized DC delivery. We are looking to fill a critical high-profile role to drive the digital transformation efforts in construction.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
  • 1+ year(s) experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos).
Technical Program Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a single major strategic initiative or multiple complex projects/programs.
  • Work with cross-functional business teams in design, commission, construction, supply chain, safety, operations and engineering team to drive digital transformation.
  • Define and map the objective and key results to the engineering deliverables & prioritize to create clarity on business impact across the organization.
  • Develop PowerBI solutions to address the analytics and insights needs of the Construction team.
  • Product manage the solution for Construction team to have improved experience.
  • Establish and drive multi semester road map working with engineering.
  • Design and visualize innovative ideas and concepts related to technical and functional projects.
  • Manage work directly or working with project leads or other project managers.
  • Learn and adopt relevant new technologies, tools, methods and processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives aligned with Construction priorities to enhance speed and predictability.
