Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C++, C#, or Java
  • 6 + years of experience in designing, developing, and shipping software
  • 4+ years of experience in technical design, problem solving and debugging skills
  • 4+ years of experience in one of the following: Distributed Systems, Control Systems, Algorithms and Data Structures for High Availability Systems Design, and designing systems at scale

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to generate clarity and direction in ambiguous situations
  • Enjoy learning and ramping up on new technologies quickly
  • Passion for data-driven decision making
  • Experience working with native Windows APIs such as Win32, UDK and WinRT
  • Comprehensive full stack development capabilities, with a strong emphasis on C++, C# and Windows engineering within the OS and UI XAML controls.
  • Experience in developing cutting-edge AI products and applications, with a deep understanding of AI technology such as LLMs
  • Proven experience in developing SDKs, reusable platforms, or frameworks

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include some or all the below:

  • Bring your experience to a vibrant team through design review, code review, and mentoring while helping the team build an inclusive interdisciplinary culture where everyone can do their best work.
  • Define, design, implement and deliver Windows OS components leveraging next-gen AI models to create rich native UI features from incubation stage to maturity with customer trust and user delight as core design principles.
  • Provide high quality code reviews for junior engineers working in modern OO or procedural languages such as C++, C#, or Java, guiding junior engineers to ensure code meets exemplary standards for maintainability, quality, and correctness.
  • Design the system components, interfaces, protocols, data models, security and scalability aspects of the system, allowing phased upgrade from the existing platform.
  • Communicate and document the system architecture & design clearly and effectively to the development team and other stakeholders.
  • Partner with appropriate stakeholders (product, design, and partner teams) to provide improvements to the implementation, monitoring and robustness of Windows features.
