As we drive to be the leading cloud platform in the world, Azure Core team is looking for an exceptional Technical Program Manager II to define the vision, strategy, and the roadmap for Azure Platform & Services to drive customers’ adoption of Microsoft Azure by connecting our technical experience, along with our customers’ vision and challenges directly to the engineering product teams, and as a result help to ensure Azure is the most compelling solution on the market.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 2+ years’ experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development.
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 1+ year(s) of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
  • 1+ years of experience working on Cloud (Azure/AWS/GCP) and large distributed systems.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Additional / Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years of experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience.
  • 1+ year(s) of experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos).
  • Experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos).

Technical Program Management IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $98,300 - $193,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $127,200 - $208,800 per year.

Responsibilities

  • You will drive programs focused on Azure Sovereign Cloud launches
  • With minimal supervision, you will partner with Engineering Teams across Azure to deliver the services required by the customer & reduce the time to market.
  • With minimal supervision, lead cross-team efforts to drive engineering solutions to technical challenges and deliver quality solutions to committed schedules and project plans
  • You will work in a fast-paced technical environment with engineering leaders across Microsoft.
  • You will drive progress as part of agile development practices.
  • You will define and own key metrics and key quality and performance indicators.
