Overview

We are seeking a strategic and impact-oriented Senior Manager, Creative Agency Management to join part of the Global Media and Partnerships organization.

In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping and advancing Microsoft’s agency management practice, developing innovative creative agency models that align with evolving business needs and ensure maximum impact. You will collaborate closely with internal teams and creative agencies to strengthen partnerships, influence operational efficiency, and deliver measurable value.

A key aspect of this role involves understanding the investments we make in creative campaigns via our agency partnerships, as well as evaluating utilization to ensure agency resources are effectively aligned with business priorities. The Global Media and Partnerships team is a diverse, solutions-oriented group focused on driving business outcomes through world-class media strategies, strategic partnerships, and operational excellence. Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Advertising, Marketing, Communications, or related field AND 4+ years experience in media, marketing, or advertising on the client or agency side
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years experience of creative agency operations and structures, including commercial agreements and an understanding of creative asset taxonomies
  • 4+ years experience in managing external and internal partners.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 8+ years experience in media, marketing, or advertising on the client or agency side.
  • 8+ years experience working across offline paid media channels (e.g., broadcast TV, cinema, print, audio, out of home [OOH]).
  • 8+ years experience working across digital media channels (e.g., pay-per-lead, social, SEM, programmatic buying, addressable TV).
  • 8+ years experience using data-driven media tactics, including advanced targeting models, measurement and learning plans, making optimizations based on data.
  • 8+ years experience managing projects (e.g., communications, internal stakeholder management timelines, prioritization, road mapping).
  • 8+ years experience search engine marketing campaigns (e.g., keyword governance, ad copy creation, audience targeting).
  • 8+ years experience paid social experience (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Snapchat, Twitch, Twitter, and YouTube).
  • Experience managing global relationships.

  • Client-side experience in advertising management.

  • Solid leadership and team management skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and negotiate agency contracts effectively.

Media IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $103,800 - $200,300 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $133,700 - $219,200 per year. Responsibilities

  • Strategic Agency Management: Build and maintain a high-performing creative agency roster by fostering strong relationships with internal teams and external partners, ensuring adaptability to market trends and emerging technologies, including advancements in social-first creative approaches.
  • Cross-Agency Strategy and Collaboration: Develop and implement strategies to optimize advertising relationships across Microsoft, with a focus on enhancing creative impact across all channels, especially social and digital platforms.
  • Marketplace and Technology Insights: Stay informed on industry shifts and emerging technologies in the creative agency landscape to recommend forward-thinking engagement and commercial models, particularly in the context of social creative innovations.
  • Operational Excellence: Evaluate and enhance agency operational touchpoints, integrating data-driven insights into business scorecards and performance metrics to deliver measurable impact.
  • Agency Health and Development: Oversee agency health assessments, collaborative check-ins, and training programs to ensure compliance and foster growth, innovation, and productive relationships.
