The Coalition is seeking an inspiring, highly motivated Environment Artist. In this position you will be collaborating with other members of the Environment Art Team, the Level Art Team and other departments to help make the artistic vision set out by art direction a reality. We are looking for a candidate with a proven track record of delivering visually stunning, high-quality art assets and collaborating with other disciplines, as well as mentoring and supporting other members of the Environment Art team.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Certificate in Design, Fine Arts, Human Computer Interaction, Visual Communications or related art field AND 2+ years experience in art design or a related art field working on computer games or entertainment
    • OR equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A portfolio of environment artwork.
  • Ability to model, sculpt, and texture environmental assets, architectural sets, and surfaces.

Art IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across Canada is CAD $83,600 - CAD $159,600 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Uphold the values of The Coalition Art Team in building a creative, positive & inclusive culture for the Environment Art team.
  • Contribute to the Environment Art team during all phases of production.
  • Creation of 3D assets, high quality models & sculpts, textures and surfaces. Fixing bugs and polishing in-game assets.
  • Produce high quality artwork, develop workflows with documentation to help others succeed.
  • Actively accept feedback from the Environment Art Lead and Art Director.
  • Offer support to team members, Outsource Reviewers/Managers, and external artists if needed.
  • Ability to work well under deadlines; self-motivated and works well in collaborative environment.
