Overview

The Consumer Sales Organization (CSO) is a global team at Microsoft responsible for sales across Devices & Creativity (Windows, Microsoft 365, and Surface) and Gaming. CSO puts the consumer at the center, helping them discover, learn, and buy through direct and partner channels in over 120 countries around the world. Our team works with ecosystem partners and internal business groups to drive digital excellence and e-commerce capability, as well as accelerate cloud and subscription adoption. The Digital Direct Sales (DDS) team is responsible for the Microsoft Store eCommerce experience. We create a trusted online destination for Consumers and Very Small Businesses to discover, learn and buy the full range of Microsoft products and solutions. The DDS Studio is committed to delivering UX, creative design, and operational excellence. We are dedicated to creating innovative user experiences across various web storefronts and customer interactions. We are looking for a Program Manager to join the DDS Studio and lead the coordination of complex UX design initiatives, ensuring seamless collaboration between cross-functional teams, driving innovative design solutions, and delivering user-centered experiences that align with our strategic goals.

As the Program Manager, User Experience (UX) Design, you will play a pivotal role in driving our UX design initiatives within the Microsoft Store e-commerce platform. You should demonstrate a passion for collaboration and operational excellence, showcasing a proven track record of leading complex projects and teams. Your organizational agility will enable you to navigate and influence at all levels of the organization effectively.

In this role, you will be skilled at obtaining alignment from partners and cross-functional teams. You will frame complex business issues, drive informed decisions, and develop actionable plans that garner buy-in from stakeholders. Your ability to work collaboratively across teams will ensure successful execution of these plans. A data-driven mindset and a relentless focus on customer needs will be essential as you strive to enhance the user experience and drive engagement.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience in retail, ecommerce, data science, research, marketing or business-related roles
    • OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Social Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 4+ years experience in retail, ecommerce, data science, research, marketing or business-related roles
    • OR Master's Degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Social Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 3+ years experience in retail, ecommerce, data science, research, marketing or business-related roles.
  • 4+ years experience in go to market (GTM), marketing strategy, business planning, or similar roles.
  • 4+ years experience in integrated, digital or product marketing management.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • 7+ years experience in retail, ecommerce, data science, research, marketing or business-related roles
    • OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Social Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 6+ years experience in retail, ecommerce, data science, research, marketing or business-related roles
    • OR Master's Degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Social Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 5+ years experience in retail, ecommerce, data science, research, marketing or business-related roles.
  • 3+ years project/vendor management experience.
  • Experience in a design studio or creative agency environment.
  • Familiarity with work intake (e.g. ADO) and other relevant project management tools.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office: Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word

eCommerce IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $103,800 - $200,300 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $133,700 - $219,200 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the end-to-end UX design process, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.
  • Track UX design program and project deliverables across multiple functions to enable technology capabilities and launch new features.
  • Participate in the collection of operational metrics to inform the overall performance, capacity, and priorities of each project.
  • Identify Strategic solutions and new paths forward as business priorities shift and reprioritization efforts are needed.
  • Schedule and drive key milestones internally for the Studio, including kickoffs, reviews, retrospectives/post-mortems that ladder up to the program plan.
  • Anticipate and mitigate risks and project delays.
  • Proactively ask questions that bring clarity, minimize scope creep, and move projects forward while identifying operational efficiencies and opportunities for the teams.
  • Facilitate and coordinate collaboration and communication across team members and partners to ensure alignment.
  • Rigorous documentation including but not limited to communicating status to leadership and stakeholders, track action items, create clear agendas to optimize meetings, and establish program roadmaps across each initiative.
  • Capture impact and reporting metrics across supported initiatives.
  • Foster Business, Planning and Engineering partnerships and enable a positive, inclusive, and engaging team atmosphere.
