Overview

Role summary: Supports the HR Business Partner in executing strategic HR charters through participation in projects, programs and initiatives. Gains knowledge of laws, regulations, standards, and emerging trends that may affect Human Resources (HR) policies and execution of these. Supports process implementation into the lived experiences of new hires, employees, managers, and leaders.

Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources (HR), Legal, Business, Psychology, or related field AND internship experience with HR or related experience (e.g., hiring, training, performance management) involving applicable employment laws and policies OR equivalent experience.

Additional or preferred qualifications

Master's Degree in Human Resources (HR), Legal, Business, Psychology, or related field.

Responsibilities

Capabilities & Skills:

  • Human Resources and Business Partnership: Has a broad knowledge of the overall business to understand its purpose coupled with the ability to recognize unique department/division purpose and contribution and bring awareness to the interdependencies. This also includes the ability to bring employment elements such as pay, benefits, etc. for departments or divisions into perspective and alignment with those of the overall business.
  • Leadership and Organizational Development: Knowledge and application of organizational development theory. This includes knowledge of organizational behaviour, organizational capabilities and change management, and workforce planning and succession planning procedures.
  • Organizational Needs Analysis: The ability to review quantitative or conceptual problems and situations, and draw valid conclusions from employee data, surveys, analyses, or other forms of data presented for the purpose of business needs. This includes the ability to identify significant trends, relationships, and themes relevant to the organization.
  • Communication Skills: The ability to prepare clear, accurate, and understandable written text, and follow the basic rules of spelling, grammar, and punctuation. This may include memos, emails, proposals, reports, and professional or general correspondence.

Responsibilities:

  1. Organisation Diagnostics and HR Reporting: Supports organization or larger projects by collecting data (e.g., via focus group, interviews, surveys) and performing analyses (e.g., attrition, movement, polls, compensation patterns) to identify needs and risk areas in partnership with HR Business Insights. With guidance, interprets key people data to inform decisions about strategy, goals, and actions.
  2. People Planning: Under guidance, implements aspects of the holistic people plan (e.g., talent management, leadership effectiveness, diversity and inclusion, culture) for an organization with the understanding of business and practical experience.
  3. Talent Management: Supports strategic talent management efforts (e.g., planning, movement, development) as directed. Understands talent strengths and needs for the assigned client.
  4. HR Program Management: Supports the HR Team in organising and managing overall events, by developing workback schedule and necessary checkpoints. Supports the HRBP with travel and communication requirements.
