OverviewMicrosoft AI’s (MAI) mission is to use AI responsibly to make everyone more informed, capable, and supported. MAI is responsible for Microsoft’s consumer propositions including Copilot, Bing, MSN, Microsoft Advertising, and Edge, as well as developing proprietary foundational AI models. MAI works closely with a variety of teams across Microsoft and across the full AI stack to deliver on Microsoft’s AI ambitions.
We are growing the Business & Strategy team, part of the office of the CEO of MAI, to assist with the creation and implementation of the overarching strategy of MAI, as well as drive business operations. The candidate should have a proven track record and strong skills in business strategy and particularly go-to-market and broader marketing strategy - including brand positioning, content strategy, campaign management and measurement across a wide range of channels (e.g. social media, SEO, other paid advertising).
This opportunity will allow you to serve as a trusted advisor and you will be an important contributor supporting the broader strategic and operational needs of the team. This role includes a variety of responsibilities, including analyzing markets, emerging trends, and strategic initiatives, as well as contributing to managing the rhythm of business. This role will also assist with the development of the overarching strategy for the organization and key product teams, with items related to the go-to-market strategy of all products across MAI.

By applying to this role based in U.S. Mountain View, CA, you are required to be local to the San Francisco area and in office 3 days a week.
Responsibilities
- You will conduct market-based research and analyses and create initial framing for strategic questions with limited input.
- You will also synthesize findings into insights across projects and leverage those insights to develop recommendations and ideas around potential growth opportunities.
- You will communicate and advocate insights to senior business leaders.
- As you establish and maintain key points of contact with internal teams, you will cultivate relationships with leaders of internal teams.
- You will also function as an advisor to senior leadership on a particular area of expertise to inform strategic business decisions.
- You will contribute to large strategy projects while also defining and managing small projects (with guidance as needed) as well as contributing to managing the rhythm of business.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Liberal Arts, Computer Science, or related field AND 8 years marketing, strategy, strategy management, consumer technical marketing, business planning, consulting, and/or partner organization experience
- OR Master's Degree in Business Administration or related field AND 6 years marketing, strategy, business planning, consulting, banking, finance, economics, and/or partner organization experience
- OR equivalent experience.
- 2 years experience in Strategy, Management Consulting, and/or Finance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Liberal Arts, Computer Science, or related field AND 15 years marketing, strategy, business planning, consulting, banking, finance, economics, and/or partner organization experience
- OR Master's Degree in Business Administration or related field AND 12 years marketing, strategy, business planning, consulting, banking, finance, economics, and/or partner organization experience
- OR equivalent experience.
- 6 years experience in Strategy, Management Consulting, and/or Finance.
Business Strategy IC6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $154,500 - $273,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $199,600 - $299,400 per year.
