Overview

Calling and Operator Integration (COI) in IC3 (Intelligent Conversation and Communication Cloud) is developing the next generation of PSTN collaboration and communication products that will revolutionize both consumer and enterprise communication for everyone. The power of this emerging communication and collaboration software suite will bring together a far more effective distributed and mobile communication style in the coming years.

As we are beginning to enable voice administration experiences to be simple and easily manageable by IT Professionals (“IT Pros”) & FLWs, we are looking for a seasoned Software Engineer II to help us create the next wave of products and services for our customers. As part of the Voice Admin experiences team, you will be architecting, designing, implementing, and extending the capabilities of Teams admin Center and associated services to support new features in the Teams along with redesigning existing capabilities to make them more efficient and user friendly. With the growth in meetings & voice capabilities in Microsoft Teams, there's a ton of great work to do to help customers of all sizes & types to get the most out of their subscription!

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
    • OR equivalent experience.

Other Requirements:


Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Software Development or Software Design.
  • 1+ years of professional experience developing Android applications.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a solid understanding of the entire software development lifecycle.
  • Knowledge of full stack will be a big plus.
  • A passion for improving and designing engineering practices and for Engineering Excellence which delight customers.
  • Excellent communication skills and cross group collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Prioritizes livesite and performs on-call duties on a rotational basis to ensure product quality.
  • Partner with stakeholders (product managers, peer engineers), to design new features, leveraging data/telemetry to make decisions.
  • Write code that is extensible and maintainable. Applies coding patterns and best practices to write code.
  • Actively participates in code reviews to maintain high quality.
  • Create clear and articulated test plans and write automated test cases to ensure good feature test coverage.
  • Adopts best practices for safe deployment of features to customers and monitors health of feature.
