Overview

Microsoft is rapidly expanding its global data center (DC) footprint to meet our customers’ cloud objectives. All DCs and service offerings require efficient and reliable capacity planning to meet exponentially growing customer demand. We are an agile, exciting, and fast-evolving engineering team focused on delivering capacity solutions for our customers worldwide, and across all Microsoft cloud offerings. We’re now seeking to hire a talented Senior Customer Experience Program Manager based in Australia, to support Asia. This role reports to the APAC Regional Lead and will partner closely with subsidiary leadership teams (Area Vice President and LT, Business Group Leads, Technical advisers, etc.) across Asia. The role will help Microsoft align cross-company sales initiatives, cloud capacity expansion, revenue performance, and gross margin targets to our capacity plans. More importantly, this role will help us plan for and enable some of our most important Customer solutions through strong partnerships and cloud co-planning efforts. Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Sales, Marketing, Computer Science, Information Technology (IT), Data Science, Business Analytics, Business, Finance, Mathematics, Physical Sciences, Humanities, or related field AND 4+ years experience in consulting, change management, project management, customer engagement, sales/business engagement, relationship management, analytics, or customer feedback and intelligence program management
    • OR equivalent experience.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proven ability to work across business groups in isolation, think critically, and act decisively in ambiguous situations.
  • Fluent Japanese speaker favoured.
  • BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance or a related field, MBA preferred; ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements required.
  • 2+ years of experience in sales operations and/or direct customer engagement

Responsibilities

  • You will work closely with cross organizational teams, including analysis of the opportunity pipeline to develop leading indicators that predict business opportunities and expansion challenges with accuracy.
  • You will act as a capacity ‘Account Manager’ for all regional capacity opportunities and challenges.
  • You will become a trusted advisor to regional leadership teams for infrastructure planning, execution, and resolution of capacity-related issues.
  • You will synthesize key feedback from customers, partners, and field to HQ with the goal of identifying sales blockers and best practice process improvements to enhance worldwide selling capability and efficiency.
  • You will contribute to the Field Insights Team’s rhythm of business (RoB) in support of the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) program gathering key insights to assist in making informed and efficient planning decisions.
  • You will develop a localized RoB to drive business efficiencies across all aspects of the Americas supply chain.
  • You will communicate progress, isolate key challenges and opportunities, and accelerate decision making.
