The Azure High Performance Computing & Artificial Intelligence (HPC & AI) compute platform team defines and delivers the hardware roadmap, software, and services that enable our users to run technical computing workloads in Azure – extreme scale AI training and inference including large language models, traditional HPC modelling and simulations, remote visualization, and immersive gaming experiences. We are responsible for providing Azure customers with supercomputer-class capabilities to accelerate their research, drive competitive differentiation, and finding answers to some of the most difficult questions of science and industry.
We are looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager who has a proven track record working with complex and distributed engineering systems that are used in operating large-scale cloud solutions. This role requires a candidate with an ability to articulate a vision, inspire and get key stakeholder buy-in and delivery, model Microsoft values and lead cross-organization teams to program success.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years' experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
- OR equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
- 4+ years Technical Program Management experience managing complex projects/programs.
- 2+ years of experience delivering software features in a fast-paced online services environment.
- 2+ years of experience with managing and delivering complex cloud infrastructure systems and capacity delivery
Other Qualifications:
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science, Security, or related discipline AND 8+ years' experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis,
- OR product development
- OR equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
- 1+ year(s) of experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos).
- A growth-mindset that enables creativity in thinking, strong analytical skills, an ability to deal with ambiguity, management of changing priorities, and consistency in learning from others.
- Passion for solving complex problems with engineering solutions that optimize both the product and customer experience.
Technical Program Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year.

Responsibilities
• Drive a virtual team comprised of participants across Microsoft to create engineering systems for operating our hardware fleet and deliver GPU capacity at scale.
• Collaborate with teams across Microsoft to manage and deliver multiple cutting edge GPU capacity programs.
• Drive agility in responding to evolving business requirements.
• Lead the resolution of complex incidents which arise due to requirements outpacing tooling capabilities.
• Carry out retrospectives to improve reliability and performance of business processes to operate our hardware fleet.
• A self-starter with proven track record of managing complex program/project to successful completion, working across a large set of cross-functional stakeholders.
• Willing and able to mentor junior members of the team and provide support to our Product Management team.
