The Global Payout Solutions (GPS) team within Microsoft are experts in compliant and accurate payments to Microsoft Suppliers and Partners. We leverage digital technologies and data-driven insights to streamline payment processes and influence business decisions. We are:

As an Execution Capability Manager your job is to own the health, improvement, measurement, compliance and automation of the incentives payouts processes and tools used by our stakeholders, customers and partners on a daily basis. You have deep passion for excellence in data, business process design and high-quality execution. You love the challenge of solving big, bold problems. You see opportunities when others see failures. You are a great communicator, able to customize your message to many layers in a large Corporation and you are comfortable delivering difficult messages when they are required. You have helicopter thinking (big picture) but have an ability to go to ground level details. You are a process designer, knowing how to instrument processes and ensure quality in design. You are an experienced project manager and take pride in delivering solid, clean, projects. You are tenacious in unearthing risks and mitigate them proactively, engaging whoever you need for support to do this. You have either had experience in an Operations environment or a Sales Incentives operational environment. You will own relationships with various Business, Operations and Engineering groups to understand existing processes and systems while driving improvements to the same. You will have experience with designing and implementing test plans and ensuring adherence to test strategies for launches. You will be accountable for the effectiveness of your processes and have deep understanding of the performance of your area in market, including the performance of your process area within the competitive landscape.

Qualifications

Qualifications Required/Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Business, Finance or related field AND 2+ years process management, process execution, process optimization, or related experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, or related field AND 4+ years process management, process execution, process optimization, or related experience OR equivalent experience.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis, handling large datasets, and making data-driven decisions. Proficient in digital payment systems and advanced Excel.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Lean, Business Process Management Professional, Change Management (e.g., Prosci), Six Sigma, and/or Agile certifications. Experience with process mining, modeling, and automation tools.
  • Master's Degree in Engineering, Business, or related field AND 6+ years process management, process execution, process optimization, or related experience (e.g., data analytics) OR Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, or related field AND 8+ years process management, process execution, process optimization, or related experience (e.g., data analytics) OR equivalent experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft's business, product, and technical strategies with proven leadership and project management skills.
  • Experience with automation or citizen developer tools (Power Apps, Flow, etc.).

Responsibilities

Core Job Responsibilities:

Execution Responsibilities:

  • Manage calculation and payment compliance for designated area of responsibility.
  • Ensure execution to SLA for your capability, understanding how changes upstream or downstream of your processes will impact overall payout SLA.
  • Responsible for tier 3 support in execution activities & review support drivers to identify efficiency opportunities
  • Work with your peers and execution vendor to manage delivery to SLA - on time and accurate payout.
  • Capture and document technical requirements for our calculations and payments and capture a working Plan of Record for process improvements, driving change control, managing issues and escalation, triage, cross group coordination and milestone management.
  • Design, store, and utilize relevant data as it pertains to your capability and programs.

Process Improvement Responsibilities:

  • Identifies process improvement opportunities and analyzes them for efficiency (waste, complexity, cost), effectiveness (achieves desired outcome), and quality
  • Clearly and effectively communicates findings and makes recommendations for improvement.
  • Identifies root causes of problems and demonstrates the ability to provide recommendations for practical solutions.
  • Have curiosity and apply analytical skills to dive deep into data to find key insights that impact the business. Utilize tools like SQL, R, Python to execute analyses.
  • Translates business and operational strategies into actionable process improvement efforts with defined outcomes.
  • Works with both business and engineering teams to define, instrument and execute upon process measures and metrics that tie to LOB and Corp KPI’s
  • Designs processes for automation / workflow / process execution; leads business requirements gathering.
