Overview

Microsoft is on a mission to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. Our culture is centred on embracing a growth mindset, inspiring excellence, and encouraging teams and leaders to bring their best each day. A growth mindset encourages each of us to lean in and learn what matters most to our customers, creating the foundational knowledge that enables us to make customer-first decisions in everything we do.

Your mission at Strategic Partnership Team

The Strategic Technical Lead (STL) is a senior role within the global Strategic Partnership Team (SPT) that serves Microsoft's largest and most strategic customers worldwide. We maximize digital transformation opportunities using the Microsoft Azure platform.

Join a dynamic, world-class community that will enable you to learn, collaborate, and contribute alongside the top minds in the industry. You will drive the technical strategy to build relationships with the C-suites of Microsoft's largest and most impactful brands in Asia. You will be at the forefront of these customers' digital transformations within their respective industries. Imagine working jointly with these customers, Microsoft engineering, product groups, and industry groups to merge business vision with engineering roadmaps, enabling market-making innovations. Be the visionary who uses technical, industry, and business acumen to turn today's dreams into tangible business outcomes tomorrow.

You will be a meaningful part of a growing team that values diversity of thought and recognizes everyone for their personal strengths and desire to learn and grow.

Responsibilities

The Strategic Technical Lead (STL) leads the technical strategy and collaborates closely with the Strategic Pursuit Lead (SPL), local teams, and, when required, global engineering and product teams. The STL role requires a strong technical leader with broad technical experience, the ability to orchestrate global v-teams, and a mindset to "lead without authority."

Furthermore, STLs need a strong and deep commercial understanding, including commercial modelling and how the Microsoft platform creates value for our customers' businesses. This is a very senior role with high visibility both externally (customer C-level) and internally (MS SLT involvement). At SPT, many of our deals are unique or represent a "first" for Microsoft; therefore, the STL role also encompasses coaching and mentoring other teams, as well as creating collateral to scale Microsoft-wide based on our learnings.

At SPT, we focus on the Azure platform to create value for our customers. This role is focused on "Apps & Infra" on Azure (Data & AI is a secondary focus) and is based in Singapore and Australia (no relocation).
