Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Graphic Design, Product Design, Visual Design, Human Computer Interaction, or related field AND 4+ years experience working in product or service design and/or shipping production code
- OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Graphic Design, Product Design, Visual Design, Human Computer Interaction, or related field AND 3+ years experience working in product or service design and/or shipping production code
- OR equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of experience with modern front-end frameworks and programming languages (Angular, ReactJS, NextJS, Python, Typescript, etc).
- 2+ years of experience prototyping front-end features.

- Abllity to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements that are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Graphic Design, Product Design, Visual Design, Human Computer Interaction, or related field AND 6+ years experience working in product or service design and/or shipping production code
- OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Graphic Design, Product Design, Visual Design, Human Computer Interaction, or related field AND 8+ years experience working in product or service design and/or shipping production code
- OR equivalent experience
- Extensible Application Markup Language (XAML), C#/C++ experience, especially in production.
- Experience in building accessible features: high contrast, scaled text, and narrator.
- Experience with modern front-end frameworks and programming languages (Angular, ReactJS, NextJS, Python, Typescript, etc).
- 4+ years of experience prototyping front-end features.
- Proficiency with Figma.
- Ability to champion collaborative product making and partner with multiple teams across multiple organizations.
- Effective visual design skills and ability to create pixel-perfect production code, prototypes and other design artifacts.
- Creative problem solving, analytical skills, flexibility, time management and teamwork skillls.
UX Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year.

Responsibilities
- Act as liaison and fill in gaps between design and engineering and develop and/or enable user interface prototypes, systems and solutions.
- Generate ideation solutions for complex products through design meetings to improve product designs and create clarity for other members of the team and develop functional prototypes to meet needs at hand and solve. complex challenges, building on previous work and emphasizing efficiencies.
- Implement pixel perfect user interfaces in collaboration with UX research, design and engineering teams.
- Identify user experience and technical issues while developing prototypes from functional/design specifications, brainstorm and prototype solutions, communicate findings to engineering, UX research and design stakeholders
- Participate in design reviews, code reviews, accessibility reviews, help identify issues and provide solutions.
- Provide technical input and inform project decisions on user experience development aligned with design systems thinking and accessibility
- Communicate a compelling, convincing product story to a specific audience, influencing those outside of design.
