The security team seeks a motivated, experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our benchmarking team. We are looking for someone who can dig into hard engineering problems, develop a system to efficiently measure the core fundamentals of our products, evaluate exciting new features, and drive executive reviews at the most senior levels.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR equivalent experience.
- 1+ years'experience working on measurement test frameworks
- 1+ years' experience using AI to accelerate all phases of development
Other Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
Microsoft Cloud Background Check:
- This position will be required to pass the Microsoft background and Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR equivalent experience.
Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year. Responsibilities
- Design sub-systems for a benchmarking service collaborating with cross team engineering and product management stakeholders.
- Deliver high quality service features that support customer requirements and closely work with stakeholders to monitor, improve and report the service health metrics to leadership team.
- Assist in investigation of security products effectiveness and performance against alternative solutions.
- Work directly on security reviews, complex automation coding and approval workflows across multiple teams.
- Has knowledge on debugging tools, logs, telemetry, and other methods, and leads verification of assumptions through writing and developing code proactively before issues occur and reactively as issues occur across products and teams.
- Provides technical leadership during code reviews for a solution/product area to ensure it meets the team's and Microsoft’s quality standards
- Demonstrated full stack security related feature design and implementation.
