Within CO+I, the Core Datacenter Services (CDS) team is responsible for delivering improving the overall availability and efficiency for Microsoft’s cloud business. We have multiple teams focused on both Microsoft and lessor datacenter performance, and all aspects of datacenter utilization effectiveness that includes power, water, and labor. We are seeking a Principal Technical Program Manager, Master Data Management (MDM) and Governance to support Master Data Governance (MDG) and Management.

This role is located either in one or all hub locations - Atlanta, GA, Washington, D.C., Redmond, WA, San Antonio, TX or Phoenix, AZ.
Relocation support will be provided, and successful candidates will need to relocate or reside within 50 miles of the hub office location.
This role is eligible for hybrid or remote work, up to 100%.
Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree AND 6+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis or enterprise data management
- OR equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience building and implementing data governance frameworks that support IT/CE, M&R (or equivalent industry) and supply chain processes.
- 5+ years of experience working with enterprise-level systems such as SAP, Ariba, Coupa, Oracle, or other ERP systems, as well as supply chain planning tools.
- 3+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
Background Check Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree AND 10+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or enterprise data management
- OR equivalent experience
6+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
6+ years of experience in Finance, Project Management, Supply Chain, and/or Operations.
Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM).
Data Governance and Stewardship Professional (DGSP) or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).
- Lean Six Sigma certification for process improvement is a plus.
Technical Program Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $137,600 - $267,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $180,400 - $294,000 per year.

Responsibilities
- Develop and drive the end-to-end strategy of master data governance and management programs across both business and technical domains.
- Deliver on the multi-year roadmap for multiple feature groups across divisions, lead tracking of project schedules, oversee development of staging and implementation plans, and oversee governance programs
- Drive data governance automation through systems and self-service mechanisms.
- Gather requirements from business stakeholders to ensure MDM initiatives align with operational needs.
- Communicate project status, risks, and issues to leadership and cross-functional partners.
- Advocate for data governance best practices and data literacy across the organization.
- Collaborate with enterprise architects, data engineers, and platform teams to design and implement MDM solutions.
- Evaluate and select MDM tools/platforms (e.g., Informatica MDM, SAP MDG, Reltio) that will integrate into the internal systems.
- Define system integration strategies between MDM platforms and ERP, CRM, SCM, and BI tools.
- Ensure master data governance policies align with regulatory, legal, and compliance requirements (e.g., SOX, GDPR).
