Are you a high-energy, analytical team player, who can lead and work across virtual teams, subject matter expert in procurement and technology sales in the Federal market with a deep understanding of Microsoft partner incentive programs? If so, we are looking for a Business Manager of federal partnerships within the Americas Global Partner Solutions (GPS) where you will partner with sales and partner leaders to streamline and drive Federal Partner revenue and growth.

The Business Manager of the Americas Federal Partner business will play a pivotal role as the liaison to the Federal Partner team for Americas GPS Leadership. As the Business Manager for the Americas Federal Partner business, you will be responsible for the strategy under the VP of Americas GPS Services. This role involves managing a complex portfolio of business across Federal Channel, Services, and Software Partners while engaging with Americas Partner Development Managers, Technology Strategists, Marketing Managers, and other Partner-facing resources to drive value with Federal Partners. This role will also work closely with the Americas GPS Leadership team to identify, develop, and implement opportunities through the Federal Partner ecosystem that aligns with the company's long-term goals.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in strategic planning, finance, project management, and have led various V-teams before. They must be comfortable leveraging a data-driven approach to analyze, solve problems and assess progress. They will have to be comfortable with ambiguity, be able to drive outcomes with leaders, and uphold high standards of workload under varying time pressures. Finally, they will be inquisitive and creative with a desire to learn and grow, getting the most out of people and teams.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (e.g., Liberal Arts, Business Administration, Management, Computer Science) AND 8+ years experience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, human resources, or business-related roles
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience and knowledge of the Federal Cloud partner ecosystem including understanding of various partnering models .
  • 7+ years of experience in Federal technology sales and/or Federal government procurement.

Security Clearance Requirements: Candidates must be able to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • The successful candidate must have an active U.S. Government Top Secret Security Clearance. Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. Failure to maintain or obtain the appropriate clearance and/or customer screening requirements may result in employment action up to and including termination.
  • Clearance Verification: This position requires successful verification of the stated security clearance to meet federal government customer requirements. You will be asked to provide clearance verification information prior to an offer of employment.
  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Citizenship & Citizenship Verification: This position requires verification of U.S. citizenship due to citizenship-based legal restrictions. Specifically, this position supports United States federal, state, and/or local United States government agency customer and is subject to certain citizenship-based restrictions where required or permitted by applicable law. To meet this legal requirement, citizenship will be verified via a valid passport, or other approved documents, or verified US government Clearance

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (e.g., Liberal Arts, Business Administration, Management, Computer Science) AND 10+ years experience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, human resources, or business-related roles
    • OR Master's Degree in relevant field (e.g., Liberal Arts, Business Administration, Management, Computer Science) AND 7+ years experience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, human resources, or business-related roles
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in strategic planning, finance, project management, Federal technology sales, or a related field, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • 5+ years of experience with market research and data analysis
  • 5+ years managing projects, including planning, managing timelines, process mapping, and tracking progress, and/or change management experience.
  • Experience in authoring business review decks.
  • 5+ years of experience managing relationships with stakeholders, clients, and/or customers.

Business Management IC6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $129,200 - $273,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $162,000 - $299,400 per year.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate communication and collaboration between Federal Partners and the Americas GPS team to ensure seamless integration and alignment of goals.
  • Identify updates to the Microsoft AI Cloud Partner Program to include partner incentives, offers, and benefits, to support Federal Partners and accelerate their practices.
  • Identify required changes to current Americas GPS business telemetry, reporting, and analytics suites to monitor Federal business performance.
  • Identify and build out Federal Partner GTM support with Americas GPS GTM team.
  • Design business strategy that articulates a step change in how Microsoft Partners transact and provide services in the Federal space.
  • Serve as the business lead for the Federal Partner business in Americas GPS and be responsible for the business performance of this organization.
  • Maintain a detailed understanding of the Federal Partner and Customer space, to include the selling motions and program requirements for a successful Partner practice.
  • Present to senior executives at the Corporate Vice President and President level on key business updates and recommendations.
  • Lead cross-functional, virtual teams that are comprised of mid / senior-level management personnel.
  • Embody Microsoft culture and values.
