The Responsible Procurement and Compliance (RP&C) team within Microsoft are experts in risk governance, supply chain due diligence, supplier sustainability and inclusive buying, data privacy, security, and Responsible AI. We leverage digital technologies and data-driven insights to enable compliance by design through our procurement solutions and supplier engagements; while also influencing business decisions. As the Responsible Procurement & Compliance Group Program Manager, Process Excellence, you will drive process excellence, innovation and program management across our RP&C team while coordinating with broader stakeholder teams. You will play a critical role in ensuring our processes are optimized for maximum value for our stakeholders and the program management of initiatives that are instrumental in assisting the organization achieve its goals.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance or related field AND 6+ years work experience in program management, process management, process improvement
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years experience with Lean Management Tools: Value Stream Mapping, Business Process Management Professional, Change Management (e.g., Prosci), Six Sigma, and/or Agile certifications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Engineering, Business, or related field AND 4+ years in program management, process management, process execution, process optimization, data management
    • OR Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, or related field AND 6+ years process management, process execution, process optimization, data management
  • 8+ years PMP, experience with process execution and impact management, or related experience (e.g., data analytics.)
  • Proven ability to turn data insights into recommended action, executive communication/presentation experience

Business Program Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $115,000 - $200,300 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $146,200 - $219,200 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement tools and methods for continuous improvement to achieve goals in security, quality, and delivery. Work with business and technical solutions leads to deploy and land various improvements.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives, assess performance across projects, recommend goals using benchmarks, and implement changes to meet targets.
  • Identify synergies across procurement teams, collaborate to align objectives, and drive actionable recommendations for process improvements that enhance efficiency and scalability.
  • Ensure processes deliver clear business outcomes, address challenges, and maintain improvements through stakeholder engagement.
  • Analyze data, draw insights, and recommend actions to sustain and enhance process improvements using kaizen methodologies.
  • Drive change management, lead end-to-end improvements across business functions, and maintain documentation for processes and systems.
  • Support team operations and rhythm of business, manage key initiatives, and promote adoption of continuous improvement practices.
  • Translate complex data, processes, and insights into clear, actionable recommendations and communications tailored for leadership, enabling decision-making and driving business outcomes.
  • Demonstrate a self-starter attitude by proactively identifying opportunities for improvement, taking initiative, and driving impactful results with minimal supervision.
