The Modern Work finance team is responsible for managing the financial performance of one of Microsoft’s most strategic and innovative businesses. Microsoft 365 is the world’s largest SaaS business, with over 400 million subscribers, spanning all segments from Enterprise to Small Businesses and Front-line Workers.

To deliver on this mission, the Modern Work Growth & Analytics finance team drives impact by providing business performance insights, conducting financial and competitive analyses to assess growth opportunities, and shaping investments across product, go-to-market (GTM), and business models. We provide thought leadership by creating, evolving, and socializing business health frameworks to inform leadership decisions.
We are seeking a Finance Manager to support, drive, and influence key segments within Microsoft. In this role, you will collaborate with sales, product marketing, and engineering to understand performance signals and trends, inform go-to-market strategies, and identify opportunities for business growth and strategic investments. You will balance running day-to-day business activities with driving strategic initiatives for future growth. Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field
- OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership, finance, or related field
- OR equivalent experience.
1+ years of experience analyzing Profit & Loss statements or other financial statements.
- 1+ years of experience using Microsoft Office tools (Excel,Power BI).
Financial Analysis IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $75,100 - $148,900 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $98,800 - $163,300 per year.

Responsibilities
- Manage the business: Surface rich business health insights to highlight risks and opportunities and facilitate course correction in collaboration with business partners. Lead performance analyses efforts in close partnership with Engineering, Sales, and Marketing.
- Business insights: Develop a holistic view of business performance and opportunities. Gather and analyze competitive insights using internal and external data. Drive growth actions through well-articulated analysis and communication to executive leadership.
- Deep business Partnership: Serve as the primary finance partner to leaders within Product Marketing and Engineering. Build deep ties with Sales and Field organizations to ensure alignment and successful execution of strategies.
- Drives a compliant culture through actions and decisions to instill trust. Advocates, educates and promotes practices and new developments.
- Champions Microsoft privacy, security, and ethical standards. Advances key compliance initiatives.
