Overview
We are growing the Monetization Strategy team, part of the Product organization in MAI Monetization. This team operates as thought partners with Product Managers within the Monetization group to determine long-term, durable strategies for our product vision. Each member of the team leverages market insight to influence and support decision making within a given portfolio.
The candidate should have a proven track record and strong skills in business strategy, communications, and internal stakeholder management. An ability to anticipate and respond quickly as new opportunities and partner situations arise is critical.
As a Product Strategist and member of the office of the MAI Monetization team, this opportunity will allow you to serve as a trusted advisor and you will be an important contributor supporting the broader strategic and operational needs of the team. This role includes a variety of responsibilities including analyzing markets, emerging trends, and strategic initiatives. Each member of the team partners closely with a given member of the Product extended leads team to help understand and provide insight for decisions across their portfolio. Our Product organization is broadly split into advertiser focus, publisher focus, inventory solutions, and underlying platform enablement.

By applying to this U.S. Mountain View, CA OR Redmond, WA position, you are required to be local to the San Francisco area OR Seattle area and in office 3 days a week.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Liberal Arts, Computer Science, or related field AND 6+ years marketing, strategy, business planning, consulting, banking, finance, economics, and/or partner organization experience
- OR Master's Degree in Business Administration or related field AND 4+ years marketing, strategy, business planning, consulting, banking, finance, economics, and/or partner organization experience
- OR equivalent experience.
- 6+ years of experience working with executive stakeholders.
- 5+ years of working with advertising technology (Amazon Ads, Meta Ads, Google Ads, or related consulting/advisory services).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Business Administration or related field AND experience in marketing, strategy, business planning, consulting, banking, finance, economics, and/or partner organization experience.
- Experience in Strategy, Management Consulting, and/or Investment Banking related to Digital Advertising and/or AI monetization.
- Highly skilled at writing with an ability to distill complex technical concepts into understandable and compelling positions

Responsibilities
- You will be a primary thought partner for PM leadership in building for the future of the monetization business.
- You will represent your portfolio of products/features and be able to clearly explain how it fits into larger Monetization/MAI/Microsoft priorities.
- You will contribute to large strategy projects while also defining and managing small projects (with guidance as needed).
- You will communicate and advocate insights to senior business leaders.
- You will conduct market-based research and analyses and create initial framing for strategic questions with limited input.
- You will synthesize findings into insights across projects and leverage those insights to develop recommendations and ideas around potential growth opportunities.
- You will convey viewpoints through written documents and influence models through moderate iterations, build end-to-end storylines, and deliver project findings and recommendations to senior executives.
- You will cultivate relationships with internal and external stakeholders, keeping your finger on the pulse of change with team strategies and external trends
- You will act as an advisor to senior leadership on a particular area of expertise to inform strategic business decisions.
