Building on Microsoft's mission, the Americas Sales Enablement & Operations (SE&O) organization delivers sales enablement strategy and execution to ensure our field sellers empower customers and partners through AI Transformation. In order to meet the needs of the market, the Americas is accelerating our focus in order to drive revenue, gain share and leadership in AI. To support this growth strategy, the Americas SE&O is hiring a Corporate Communications Manager.
In this role, you will be at the forefront of leading and landing Communications programming across the Microsoft Americas business (operating units/segments). You will be a trusted advisor and activator responsible for leading Communications strategy, plans, deliverables, and cutting-edge content that lands on time and on point, while creating actions that deliver measurable impact across the business. Your efforts will be pivotal in helping to propel our Americas business forward by equipping sellers and our sales enablement teams with timely, right-sized content, while increasing awareness, alignment, answers, and ultimately, more wins.
As the Corporate Communications Manager, you will also work collaboratively, bring groups together to drive consensus and momentum, and interface with a wide variety of internal stakeholders. This role will have regular contact with senior leadership, and demands strong business judgment, accountability, and professional demeanor.

Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Engineering, or related field AND 4+ years experience in business consulting, sales, sales operations, information technology (IT), account management, business development, marketing, IT field sales, or a related field
- OR equivalent experience.
- 3+ years experience in in Near Term Strategy (1-2 years out), Management Consulting, or Finance.
- 4+ years of enterprise experience in internal and external corporate communication
Additional/Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or related field AND 6+ years of marketing, strategy, sales, program management, project management, business planning, consulting, finance, economics, and/or partner organization experience
- OR equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of communications experience, preferably in areas of Corporate Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Brand, and/or Agency
- 5+ years in the following key areas: communications, creative, project management, and analytics/data measurement
- Expertise and experience in leading overall communication strategy and end-to-end programming
- Knowledge of Microsoft products and the technology industry
- Business Communications – The ability to communicate clearly, diplomatically and effectively to diverse audiences that include senior leadership, the field sales organization, customers and partners.
- Experience bringing people together – Fostering a collaborative environment and ability to consistently stay positive and inspire passion and creativity in others. Displays adaptability, ethics, integrity, passion for progress, and celebrating success as a team.
- Demonstrates Judgement – Proven ability to make sound principled decisions under pressure.
Sales Strategy Enablement IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $106,400 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $137,600 - $222,600 per year.

Responsibilities
- Lead Communications as a Service (CaaS) platform – Champion and program leader for our internal services platform (consolidating services and optimizing spend) providing leading Communications elements such as Communications planning, high-profile presentations, creative deliverables, Town Hall/event production, video packages, translations, branding, templates, and extending/sharing of best practices. All supported by a well-developed network of leading partner-vendors.
- Communication Strategy Setting and Planning – Develops timely, crisp, and actionable communications strategy and planning. Defines and executes tactics in support of overall strategy, ensuring consistency of voice across messages and channels. Translates value proposition into effective communications strategies and storytelling that resonate with target audience(s). Understands, segments, and targets audience needs and adapts communications strategies accordingly. Scales messages appropriately for a given effort, including expertise in the levers to use to achieve scale and planning for scale from the outset. - Execution of Communication Strategy – Creates and aligns communications plans across key Microsoft Americas and Americas Sales Enablement & Operations functions and teams. Ensures content is consistent across the channels with which Microsoft is connected to a given audience. Ensures appropriateness of formats for one-to-one (1:1) and one-to-many (1:many) engagements. Leads the development of frameworks and commensurate collateral. Solicits feedback and iterates as appropriate. Modify narratives in real time based on reaction/response. Measures, test, and records effectiveness of messaging. Understands and advises others on available channels, evolving Communications technologies and trends, which channels to leverage, and what to advocate for in terms of messaging.
- Orchestration and Agency Management – Collaborates with others on the development and production of communications materials and deployment of communications tactics. With guidance, proactively includes relevant others to inform content and messaging. Engages with internal and external stakeholders to meet objectives. Leads and directs agency teams as needed. Leverages technical expertise and knowledge of successful campaigns in managing work of self and others. Ensures adherence to all Microsoft standards.
- Storytelling and Messaging – Develop and drive stories in fresh ways that generate positive perceptions towards Microsoft, Microsoft Americas, Americas Sales Enablement & Operations, and the Sales Strategy Enablement team messaging and brand. Leverages expertise to determine what format is most appropriate and meaningful for a story and target audience(s). Ensures team attends to cadence of storytelling (e.g., duration, evolution), including content development and curation to land a story. Guides team to create narratives based on messaging frameworks that drive content development and deployment.
- Stakeholder Management – Identify and develop content to support education, guidance, and advice to internal stakeholders (LT, Chiefs of Staff, Business Managers, Executive Communications leads) on communications strategy and tactics. Ensures alignment on strategic intent as foundation for execution of tactics. Ensures rhythm of business (e.g., cadence, intent, content to keep stakeholders informed and up to date) is established. Recognizes and takes action to be broadly inclusive of perspectives and styles in a manner that suits stakeholders.
