Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Program Executive to oversee Vexcel Corporation, a Microsoft company. This senior-level position requires extensive experience in managing the delivery of complex consulting projects. The Program Executive will be responsible for overseeing program execution, supporting strategic relationships with key stakeholders in the customer portfolio, ensuring successful project delivery, and driving customer satisfaction.

This role has the requirement to be located in the New York City metropolitan area and is flexible in that you can work up to 50% from home.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent experience, AND 10+ years consulting/professional services delivery, project management, practice management, or related field.
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years people management experience (to include matrixed people management).
  • Leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage teams and stakeholders.
  • Deep understanding of project management practices, risk assessment, and resource management.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field AND 15+ years experience in consulting/professional services delivery, project management, or practice management, or leading portfolio management, complex programs, or revenue-driven (e.g., $10 million +) programs
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years experience with successful public sector project/program implementation.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Agile certification, Scrum Master, Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), or Professional Scrum Master One (PSM1) certification.
  • Experiencing in creating and managing Intellectual Property (IP).

Consulting Project Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $122,500 - $214,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $154,500 - $231,700 per year.

Program Leadership:

  • Oversee the delivery of complex consulting programs, ensuring alignment with customer outcomes and business objectives. Provide executive leadership and oversight to execute plans that deliver quality solutions for the largest strategic accounts.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, demonstrating accountability for problem resolution. Act as the primary escalation point for any customer or technical issues. Review and approve customer change control processes.

Risk Management:

  • Identify and mitigate risks proactively, optimizing the customer portfolio and ensuring project success.

Business Metrics:

  • Forecast and manage business results through a deep understanding of business metrics and reporting. Oversee through Project Health Reviews (PHR) that internal and external compliance requirements have been met.

Team Coaching:

  • Use team meetings, one-on-ones, and PHRs to coach the team on customer outcome focus, tracking and managing consumption to forecast. Drive employee growth and development, the execution of projects, and managing overall team performance.

Quality Assurance:

  • Champion high-quality standards during presales and delivery, aligned with customer outcomes. Drive delivery excellence, maturity, and quality, leveraging partners and organizations and ensuring appropriate use of Microsoft and industry methodologies.

Vendor Management:

  • Oversee vendor relationships, ensuring that vendors meet project requirements and deliverables, and manage vendor performance to ensure alignment with project goals.

Microsoft Leadership Principles:

  • Exhibit Microsoft leadership principles (create clarity, generate energy, deliver success) in all aspects of the role.
