This role sits within the broader Central Gaming Marketing (CGM) team, which is at the heart of the Microsoft Gaming organization. CGM connects and engages with players at scale across our diverse portfolio of experiences, games, and screens through a variety of marketing engines. We pride ourselves on connecting our campaigns, stories, and diverse portfolio of games, devices, and consumer products to new and existing audiences, delivering material business impact and creating enduring brand meaning.

We are seeking a Director of Media Partnerships to join our Global Investment team. This role reports into the Senior Director of Social Media and Global Investment. The ideal candidate has a robust media background both in-house and agency side, blending both direct platform buying knowledge and significant relationship building skills. They will help drive deeper opportunities with our agency team as well as our key platform partners, unlocking efficiency and innovation. Additionally, this role plays a critical part in driving alignment and partnership with the Microsoft Consumer Business division, Global Media. Together, you will help drive business transformation and impact through enterprise level agreements.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Economics, Public Relations, or related field AND 5+ years integrated marketing (e.g., digital, relationship, social media, campaign), event management, marketing strategy, business planning, marketing operations, or related work experience
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years' experience as an agency media lead or in house media experience.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Economics, Public Relations, or related field AND 7+ years integrated marketing (e.g., digital, relationship, social media, campaign), event management, marketing strategy, business planning, marketing operations, or related experience
    • OR Master's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Economics, Public Relations, or related field AND 3+ years integrated marketing (e.g., digital, relationship, social media, campaign), event management, marketing strategy, business planning, marketing operations, or related experience
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Experience crafting joint business plans (JBPs) with media partners and negotiating rate cards
  • Preference to have background in direct media buying with the ability to navigate platform side buys and analytics
  • Robust presentation, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Budget management with ability to navigate complex agency relationships
  • Ability to synthesis complex data
  • Experience with the Sprinklr platform preferred
  • Experience presenting to stakeholders and collaboration across a complex matrixed org to drive alignment

Integrated Marketing IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $130,900 - $251,900 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $165,600 - $272,300 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day relationship with our media agency
  • Alongside Microsoft counterparts, participate and oversee the creation and implementation of annual Joint Business Plans with our key platform partners
  • Partner on media strategy for tentpole campaigns run by our agency, working alongside internal stakeholders to drive best in class campaigns, creating alignment on approach and opportunity
  • Drive deep reporting and campaign tracking to internal stakeholders
  • Partner with Director of Media Strategy to track campaign trends, unlock first to market opportunities, and drive advocacy across leadership
  • Co-lead and manage Gaming media summit and partner across Microsoft Gaming studios to understand gaming portfolio strategy and opportunities
