Overview
We are looking for an experienced Business Manager to join the legal team supporting Microsoft’s Cloud + AI, CoreAI, and COO business functions.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance or related field AND 4+ years work experience in program management, process management, process improvement
- OR equivalent experience.
- Experience working closely with leadership and promoting collaboration among cross-functional teams.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications:
- Keen business sense, ability to think creatively and strategically, ability to navigate ambiguity, bias for action, and a sense of humor.
- The ability to deliver impact through superior collaboration.
- Results orientation.
- Analytical skills.
- Capability to work efficiently, meet demanding deadlines in a fast-paced changing environment, prioritize workflow, and adjust to frequent fluctuations in workload and business imperatives.
- A passion for working in the technology sector and including a keen interest in applying technology, including AI, to improve legal work and efficiency
Business Program Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $96,500 - $188,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $123,500 - $206,400 per year.

Responsibilities
- Drive cross-team projects as needed to meet the changing business environment and manage business needs
- Prepare and present regular status reports to executive leadership.
- Develops communications for internal and external audiences.
- Define and manage the team's rhythm of business.
- Working with the leader, drive accountability for the team in executing core business activities, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), and analyze data to inform decision making.
- Drive prioritization and prepare the team for leadership staff meetings.
- Drive content alignment across teams for executive review.
- End to end management of legal organization’s financial operations, including forecasting/reforecasting, fiscal planning, reporting and related tools, expense movement (cross-charging), and headcount management. Collaborate with key financial partners.
- Manage engagements with law firms and other external partners.
- Monitors team/organization health and supports the leader in responding to team culture issues, as well as promoting cultural initiatives.
- Serve as program manager for special projects and programs.
