The main goal of Senior Cloud & AI Solution Engineer is to win the technical decision of customers to purchase and use our technology.

The Senior Cloud & AI Solution Engineer is expected to be able to both own and win customers’ technical decisions, as well as find new opportunities through their contacts and engagements for sales specialists to pursue. You work within a virtual team of technical, partner, and consulting resources to help educate your customers at a technical level, demonstrate and prove our solutions, and win the technical decision — allowing the team to achieve/exceed quarterly sales targets in your accounts.

Being part of this team will allow you to maintain and develop your deep technical expertise across Microsoft and non-Microsoft cloud-based technologies.

Required/Minimum Qualifications:

• 5+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience
  • OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 4+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience
  • OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 3+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience
  • OR equivalent experience.

• Experience with GitHub AND App development frameworks and tools (e.g., Visual Studio Code, low-code/pro-code platforms, AI-assisted development tools), CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, AND platform engineering (e.g., feedback loops, security, deployment, monitoring, or performance optimization).
• Experience designing AND building scalable application architectures using cloud-native development approaches: APIs, containers, microservices, and event-driven systems.
• Demonstrated understanding of core Azure workloads (compute, storage, networking, identity, databases, and monitoring) and the ability to compare across equivalent cloud services.
• Experience in creating Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) for customers that lead to production deployments.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications:

• 8+ years technical pre-sales, technical consulting, or technology delivery, or related experience
  • OR equivalent experience.
• 6+ years experience with cloud and hybrid, or on premises infrastructures, architecture designs, migrations, industry standards, and/or technology management.
• Certification in relevant technologies or disciplines
  • Azure Certifications: AI-102 Azure AI Engineer Associate or AZ-204 Azure Developer Associate or AZ-400 DevOps Engineer Expert or GitHub Foundations
    or GitHub Copilot or GitHub Advanced Security.

• Drive technical sales with customer technical decision makers (TDMs), leveraging processes, tools, demos, programs, and offers. Lead proof of concepts (POCs) using a consultative sales approach and collaborate with other Solution Engineers to influence the customer vision.

• Build trusted advisor relationships with customer TDMs and TDM-1s. Proactively identify customer pain points and co-develop secure, resilient solution architectures for production-scale delivery, following Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) best practices, including Unified Support and Cloud Migration Factory (CMF).

• Collaborate with the GitHub sales team to lead developer-focused conversations and provide expertise on the GitHub Enterprise platform.

• Overcome competitive and technical objections, manage customer escalations, and collaborate with Global Black Belt and engineering teams to share insights and influence product improvements.

• Maintain and deepen expertise in GitHub and application development frameworks and tools — including Visual Studio Code, pro code/low code platforms, AI-assisted development tools, CI/CD, DevOps, and platform engineering (security, feedback loops, deployment, monitoring, performance).

• Stay current and skilled in scalable architecture and cloud-native app development, including APIs, containers, microservices, and event-driven models.

• Keep up with market trends and competitive insights. Actively collaborate and share knowledge within the broader developer technical community.
