Overview
The Global Marketing Engines & Experiences (GME&E) team is seeking a Commercial Social Art Director & Creator to lead the visual direction and in-house content creation across Microsoft’s commercial social ecosystem. As part of the Social and Creative team, you’ll develop and produce eye-catching, culture-forward content for platforms like TikTok, LinkedIn, Instagram, X, YouTube, and emerging channels — spanning key brands such as Microsoft Cloud, Azure, Microsoft 365, Teams, and Security. In this role, you will work across video, animation, motion, and design — bringing platform-native sensibilities and strategic clarity to everything you create. This role is equal parts creative ideation and creation with opportunities to shape impactful content, influence brand storytelling, and pioneer new approaches to AI-assisted content development.

Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Design, Art Direction, or related field AND 1+ years of experience in social creative, content marketing, or art direction, or related work experience
- OR equivalent experience.
- 1+ year(s) of experience creating digital and social content for brands, with B2B (business-to-business) or technical audiences, or related experience.
- 1+ year(s) experience with in-house or agency creative work, including concept development and production oversight, or related experience.
- 1+ year(s) experience and skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere Pro), or related tooling.
- 1+ year(s) experience and knowledge of social platforms (LinkedIn, TikTok, Instagram, Threads, X, etc.) and experience in driving visual performance.
Preferred/Additional Qualifications
- Experience understanding brand identity systems and the ability to push creative boundaries while staying on-brand.
- Storytelling and presentation skills with an ability to communicate creative ideas to a variety of stakeholders.
- Familiarity with generative AI tools for creative production.
Integrated Marketing IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $85,100 - $169,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $112,000 - $185,300 per year.

Responsibilities
- Lead the creative development of social-first content, including video, still, animation, and mixed media assets across Microsoft’s commercial brands.
- Concept, storyboard, and produce content aligned with social trends, platform practices, and business priorities.
- Bring a visual point of view and creative leadership to campaigns, activations, and quick-turn moments.
- Collaborate with social strategists, copywriters, product marketers, and brand teams to ensure content is audience-centric and on-message.
- Serve as a creator using Adobe Creative Suite, mobile tools, and AI-powered platforms to develop native content.
- Develop toolkits, templates, and visual systems that support content consistency and creative experimentation.
- Stay attuned to platform updates, cultural trends, and audience behaviors to inform future creative direction.
- Present creative concepts and treatments to internal stakeholders and agency partners with clarity and confidence.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver on time in a deadline-driven, collaborative environment.
