The Mojang Studios Quality Engineering Team is looking for an experienced Senior Quality Lead, Minecraft to join us on our mission to Build a Better World. As a Quality Lead, you will play a pivotal role in the delivery of high-quality experiences for our players.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field AND 6+ years software industry experience
- OR Master's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field AND 4+ years software industry experience
- OR equivalent experience or capabilities.
- 6+ years experience in quality assurance, software testing, or a related field within the gaming industry.
- 4+ years experience in quality ownership of large or complex features or products over multiple release cycles.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience building data visualizations of player telemetry to assess quality.
- Experience working with test automation frameworks and/or authoring test automation.
- 3+ years of people management experience.
- Passion for Minecraft is a plus!
Software Quality Engineering M4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.

Responsibilities
- Lead your team of Quality Engineers to create and execute a quality strategy for multiple feature areas in Minecraft, in close collaboration with feature team stakeholders.
- Embody the values of coach, model, and care by providing guidance and mentorship to team members, leading by example in quality practices, and fostering a supportive and inclusive work environment that prioritizes the well-being and development of the team.
- Monitor, summarize, and effectively communicate the quality of your product areas, state of quality efforts, and highlight risks to stakeholders.
- Be an advocate for a shift left approach to quality, encouraging investment in automated test coverage and early quality team involvement in feature development.
- Work closely with others in quality leadership to monitor our quality operating model and identify and address any issues that may arise across our internal team, as well as with external test partners.
