Overview
Microsoft AI (MAI) is a customer-first organization building AI powered products in service of our customer’s business goals. The world is changing rapidly during this AI platform shift and we need communications professionals who articulate the change and how it impacts how we work and deliver value for our customers.
As the Communications Director for Microsoft AI Monetization, you will source draft, and edit presentations, email updates, white papers, and other materials on behalf of the Monetization leadership team, collating inputs and creating deliverables. These will be persuasive, punchy, interesting, and accurate, often drafted and completed in situations where speed and an ability to operate amidst ambiguity and uncertainty are essential.
Our Monetization teams work within Microsoft AI, an organization responsible for Copilot, Bing, Edge, MSN, and other AI-first products. The organization has all the ingredients needed for success with Product, Engineering, Research, and Go To Market functions partnering as peers with shared goals. This enables close collaboration and rapid decision making. You will work closely with other Communications Directors across Microsoft AI to ensure alignment, as well as marketing. Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Finance, or related field AND 8+ years Communications, Marketing Operations, Field Operations, Program Management, Project Management, or related experience
- OR equivalent experience

Responsibilities
- Work closely with product, sales, engineering, marketing, MAI communications and legal across the company as a trusted partner and advisor.
- Craft high-quality deliverables (PowerPoint/Figma presentations, whitepapers, organizational updates, and emails) that synthesize and communicate the work of the organization with an inspiring narrative.
- Proactively track, and deliver towards, the content calendar and events/program schedule that you will drive, for upcoming deadlines and milestones.
- Shape messaging to seamlessly align with the leader’s communication style, ensuring clarity, authenticity, and strategic impact.
- Collaborate across Monetization teams to develop and drive story telling opportunities using data and insights. You will also develop and create ideas for collateral materials for use in a range of initiatives and events.
- Use expertise to lead and influence teams on determining format, story, and narrative arc to tell the story in the most compelling and authentic manner to the target audience.
- Outline and craft deliverables for vision memos, materials for org-wide All Hands, and key customer engagement, leveraging internal and external resources as needed.
- Lead, own, and manage agency / designer budget and relationships as required.
- Monitor and analyze the impact of messaging for a given issue, then create responses as needed across internal / or external channels.
- Align with the Microsoft AI communications team, with an in-depth understanding of what is happening across the organization.
