Microsoft’s Cloud business is expanding, and the Cloud Supply Chain (CSCP) organization is responsible for enabling the hardware infrastructure underlying this growth including AI! CSCP’s vision is to empower customers to achieve more by delivering Cloud and AI capabilities at scale. Our mission is to deliver the world's computer with an industry-leading supply chain. The CSCP organization is responsible for traditional supply chain functions such as plan, source, make, deliver, but also manages supportability (spares), sustainability, and decommissioning of datacenter assets worldwide. We deliver the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's over 200 online businesses including Bing, MSN, Office 365, Xbox Live, OneDrive and the Microsoft Azure platform for external customers. Our infrastructure is supported by more than 300 datacenters around the world that enable services for more than 1 billion customers in over 90 countries.
The Demand Planning team is a central function within CSCP with direct impact on Microsoft cloud business success. This team forecasts, plans, and drives capacity for the majority of Microsoft’s cloud services and directly influences cloud user experience. As a central function, we work closely with partners across Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, Data Centers, NPI and Deployment Engineering. We are looking for a Demand Planning Manager with great partner management skills, insight and supply chain knowledge, and executive presence to transform the relationships with our partners from meeting their stated requirements to meeting their needs while optimizing the efficiency of our Cloud offering.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Supply Chain, Information Technology (IT), Business, Operations, Finance, Accounting, Data Science, or related field AND 4+ years supply chain, inventory management or sales operations experience, preferably in planning (demand/supply/forecasting), cloud industry experience, infrastructure, data science, and/or channel management experience
- OR equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of experience with business intelligence tools (SQL, Power BI, Power Pivot, Tableau, etc.).
Other Requirements:
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to, the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Passionate about Cloud Computing and willing to dive into in-depth technical discussions.
- Project Management experience managing the implementation of a medium to large Supply Chain Systems projects, including forecasting, demand planning, supply planning, purchasing / sourcing, warehousing / inventory management, transportation and distribution.
- A proven track record of growth and increasing responsibility, specifically in acquiring scope/leading areas in supply chain and capacity planning.
Demand Planning IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $96,500 - $188,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $123,500 - $206,400 per year.

Responsibilities
This is a key role that leads plan development and engagement, while impacting customer capacity availability and the bottom-line cost for the Azure Business.
A successful candidate for this role will leverage their analytical, leadership, and communication skills to deliver innovative solutions that will transform the way our customers interact with our products.
- Serve as the primary focal point with engineering team for all capacity topics
- Develop technical insights into the product, customer value, COGS and margin drivers to make well balanced data driven decisions for the business
- Provide a clear forecast and prioritized capacity plan to the end-to-end execution teams and optimizing the plan for availability, business growth and cost
- Partner with finance, execution, capacity management, software and hardware engineering teams to drive cluster decision to ensure right capacity is available in the right place at right time
- Operationalize and drive the MBR (monthly business review) cadence for capacity planning
- Liaise with the hardware development organization to ensure SKU development and hardware roadmaps meet the business need by dates
- Drive continued process efficiencies and tooling improvements
