We’re looking for an AI Client Engineer II to help build the UI experiences and interaction layers of AI-powered tools and experiences. You’ll work alongside product, engineers, designers, and researchers to build features that make complex systems feel simple, responsive, and human-centered. This role is perfect for an engineer who brings a strong foundation in front-end development and a curiosity for how intelligent systems can empower creativity.

Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications (RQs/MQs)
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, TypeScript, C, C++, C#, JavaScript, or Python
- OR equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of experience building front-end applications using React, TypeScript, and modern web frameworks.
- 6+ months of experience integrating client applications with Azure OpenAI Service (e.g., Chat Completion, Embedding APIs) or similar LLM APIs.
- 1+ years developing front-end architecture, design systems, and responsive interaction design.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building front-end interfaces for chatbots, copilots, or natural language-driven features.
- Familiarity with Microsoft AI tooling and ecosystem (e.g., Azure OpenAI SDK, Semantic Kernel, Azure AI Studio).
- Exposure to conversational UI patterns, real-time inference workflows, or uncertainty handling in UX.
Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across Canada is CAD $85,000 - CAD $166,800 per year.

Responsibilities
- Build and maintain user-facing features that help users interact with AI systems in intuitive, creative ways.
- Use modern client technologies like React, TypeScript, and Tailwind to deliver responsive and performant UIs.
- Collaborate with designers and researchers to explore new interaction models, from prompt-based tools to real-time feedback systems.
- Work with AI engineers to integrate model outputs and backend services into usable, testable front-end features.
- Participate in architectural discussions and help evolve shared front-end infrastructure and component libraries.
- Contribute to usability, accessibility, and user feedback efforts to continually refine AI user experiences.
