Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field and 2+ years of engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR equivalent experience.
- At least 2+ years of professional experience developing full stack applications or products at scale, including both frontend and backend components
- At least 2+ years of professional experience using JavaScript, TypeScript, or React in a production environment
Other Requirements:
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 4+ years of engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C++
- OR equivalent experience.
- 4+ years of professional experience developing full stack applications or products at scale, including both frontend and backend components
- 4+ years of professional experience using JavaScript, TypeScript, or React in a production environment
Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $100,600 - $199,000 per year.
There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $131,400 - $215,400 per year.
Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year.
There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.

Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll work across the full technology stack—from crafting user-centric interfaces to building and integrating backend services. You’ll develop and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance applications powering key product experiences. Your work will span modern frontend frameworks and cloud-based backend systems, with opportunities to explore areas like big data and machine learning.
You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across Microsoft, contributing to the design, development, and deployment of full stack solutions.
