The Azure SMB team is passionate about cloud technologies and the opportunities it creates for small and mid-sized businesses (SMBs). We work closely with Azure product PMMs, as well as sales, finance, and other teams to create, optimize and adopt marketing campaigns, solution plays, go to market strategies, customer programs and tools that support the strategic priorities of the Azure business. We strive to translate product complexities into actionable scale engines and go-to-market execution worldwide.
We are seeling a Prodcut Marketing Manager - Azure SMB Audience to develop targeting marketing strategies and messages that will resonate with the SMB segment. The ideal candidate will be highly collaborative, data driven, and action-oriented problem solver who’s skilled at translating audience insights into compelling messaging and campaigns.
This role is flexible in that you can work up to 50% from home.

Qualifications
Required/minimum qualifications
- Master's Degree in in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 3+ years experience in business
- OR Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 5+ years experience in business
- OR equivalent experience.
- 5+ years experience working in integrated marketing or product marketing in commercial technology businesses with 10k+ customers.
- 3+ years experience working in product marketing roles specifically focused on small and mid-sized business (SMB) customers.
- Exemplary storytelling and writing skills, with deep experience in crafting value proposition and building messaging frameworks (MPFs) that resonate.
Additional or preferred qualifications
- Master's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 6+ years experience in business
- OR Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 8+ years experience in business OR equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in marketing, computer science, business, OR equivalent experience
- 5+ years experience working in product marketing roles specifically focused on small and mid-sized business (SMB) customers.
- 3+ years’ experience project management experience, excelling at managing multiple projects and deliverables simultaneously, ensuring timely and successful completion.
- 3+ experience reviewing, analyzing, and making recommendations to leadership based on sales data, campaign performance or sales feedback.
- Expertise in developing customer insights based on research synthesis, sales engagements and data analysis.
- Highly effective collaborator highly skilled in working across many broad stakeholder groups to deliver marketing outcomes.
Product Marketing IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $106,400 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $137,600 - $222,600 per year.

Responsibilities
- Deeply understanding customer needs and customer buying journey related to Azure solutions by synthesizing third-party research and partnering with internal insights and research teams to conduct first-party studies.
- Lead the development of a prioritized list of customer challenges and expectations, translating those into actionable insights that align with Azure’s capabilities.
- Craft clear, compelling SMB specific value propositions and messaging and position frameworks (MPFs) for Azure solution areas that align Azure’s capabilities with prioritized customer needs.
- Continuously refine messaging drawing from insights and feedback gathered from sales, partners, and other key stakeholders, and ensure it resonates with target audiences and addresses prioritized customer needs and challenges.
- Lead the development of core pitch decks that translate audience insights, messaging frameworks, and customer problem statements into compelling, solution-oriented narratives. Own the end-to-end pitch creation process—from initial concept through to final delivery—ensuring alignment with MPFs and value propositions. Drive an iterative feedback loop with sales, partner, and field stakeholders to continuously refine and evolve materials in response to product updates and shifting market dynamics.
- Brief integrated marketing on core messaging and positioning, along with strategic solution play marketing needs for SMB and participate in review and approval process for marketing campaigns and asset creation.
- Develop customer maturity model for each Azure solution area in partnership with SMB insights team and drawing on data from sales, Azure consumption data, along with first and 3rd party research. Leverage model to inform segmentation, targeting and positioning for Azure SMB marketing campaigns and performance analysis.
