The Director, Events Integrated Marketing leads the end-to-end integrated marketing strategy for Microsoft’s flagship events—Ignite, Build, and AI Tour—building anticipation and excitement to the pre-, during-, and post-event experience. These events are peak moments for new and returning commercial customers where they will dive into Microsoft’s vision and learn about the new technology. These are moments where we celebrate our innovations and the impact in the market, and where we celebrate our commitment to our customers. In this role, you will lead demand generation, drive the end-to-end strategy and execution of digital customer engagement experience, taking lead on achieving registration goals and consistently driving to sell-out, plus defining the news amplification strategy, and attendee coms. This role leads the alignment across Product Marketing, Events, and Digital teams to ensure cohesive messaging, flawless execution, and maximum audience engagement. Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Define and own integrated marketing plans for flagship events, aligning with business priorities and audience strategies.
- Lifecycle Marketing: Orchestrate pre-, during-, and post-event campaigns across digital, social, paid media, email, and influencer channels to optimize reach and engagement.
- Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner with Event Leads, product marketing, digital Chanel, and the coms team to ensure seamless and on-strategy execution across all touchpoints.
- Audience Acquisition: Develop registration strategies and audience targeting plans for priority segments, leveraging data-driven insights.
- Operational Excellence: Manage workback schedules, dependencies, and deliverables; lead Rhythm of Business (RoB) planning and executive communications.
- Measurement & Optimization: Define Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and conduct post-event retrospectives to apply learnings to future activations.

Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field AND 5+ years integrated marketing for large-scale events or campaigns or related work experience
- OR equivalent experience.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field AND 3+ years integrated marketing for large-scale events or campaigns, or related experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field AND 7+ years integrated marketing for large-scale events or campaigns, or related experience
- OR equivalent experience.
- Experience in digital marketing channels, analytics and customer journey design.
- Experience running influencer and creator campaigns.
- Experience driving demand generation and performance marketing.
Integrated Marketing IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $130,900 - $251,900 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $165,600 - $272,300 per year.
