We are seeking a Market Research Manager with effective project management, analytics, and consultation skills to join our team. Microsoft’s security business aims to secure organizations from end-to-end by safeguarding companies’ AI, cloud, apps, data, devices, and identities. In this role, your work will span across all Microsoft commercial security products by partnering with portfolio and integrated marketing teams. Responsibilities
You will conduct research to understand the needs, motivations, and perceptions of target audiences (e.g. security decision makers, managers, and practitioners). You will manage research workstreams such as value proposition development, naming, feature prioritization, and message testing. In this role, you will: •Partner with product marketing teams to frame business needs into research objectives, hypotheses, projects, and programs. •Manage multiple projects simultaneously, bringing together colleagues, market research agencies, and stakeholders to answer key business questions. •Track perceptions, needs and concerns of key security audiences as well as monitor market shifts. •Synthesize insights across multiple data sources (qualitative, quantitative, social intelligence, and/or behavioral) and translate insights into recommendations to inform business critical decisions. •Collaborate with the Research + Insights team to look across data sources and tools to bring relevant insights to our stakeholders. •Collaborate with product marketers and senior leadership to conduct and communicate insights that drive impact. •Apply emerging AI tools in research to inform business decisions. •Develop expertise in commercial security products, audiences, and markets.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Market Research IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $85,100 - $169,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $112,000 - $185,300 per year.
