The Customer and Partner Ecosystem (CAPE) team is a rapidly growing organization that is responsible for the Copilot Studio, M365 Copilot and more. Microsoft is considered one of the leaders in Software as a Service in the world of business applications and this organization is at the heart of how business applications are designed and delivered. Microsoft Copilot Studio is a graphical, low-code tool for building agents and agent flows.

To help our largest and most strategic customers realize business value with these tools, we have a Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE) team. We are looking for a Program Manager IIAI Forward Deployed Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with strategic customers and internal Microsoft teams to support the design and implementation of production-ready Copilot Studio agents, including conversational agents, autonomous agents, and M365 Copilot agents.

Your mission: to help customers move successfully through early implementation and adoption by supporting solution design, delivery coordination, and value realization. You will work at the intersection of delivery and product, helping customers build agent flows, connect enterprise systems, and apply Microsoft technologies to real business scenarios.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with customers and internal teams to support the design and delivery of production-ready agents using Copilot Studio, Power Platform, Microsoft 365 Copilot, and Azure services.
  • Contribute to implementation efforts across solution scoping, prototyping, testing, and deployment, helping build agentic solutions that integrate with enterprise systems and APIs.
  • Collaborate with customer stakeholders, Microsoft field teams, and engineering partners to help drive adoption, resolve blockers, and support successful project outcomes.
  • Gather feedback and field insights from customer engagements and share learnings with product and engineering teams to help improve future experiences and capabilities.
  • Work hands-on with extensibility patterns, connectors, Azure integrations, and conversational orchestration to support customer scenarios and accelerate solution delivery.
  • Contribute to team scale by documenting best practices, capturing reusable patterns, and supporting the development of internal guidance and playbooks.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Math, Business, or related field AND 2+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
    • OR equivalent experience.

Other Requirements: Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualification:

  • Experience supporting customer-facing technical engagements such as presentations, workshops, design sessions, proof of concepts, or implementation projects
  • Interest in Generative AI, agentic AI, low-code platforms, and Microsoft business applications, with a willingness to continue building technical depth in these areas
  • Familiarity with enterprise software, cloud services, APIs, or systems integration concepts
  • Experience contributing to the deployment or adoption of AI, automation, or business application solutions in real-world environments
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Customer Experience Program Mgmt IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $100,600 - $199,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $131,400 - $215,400 per year.
