The Portfolio Product Marketing team is hiring for a Technical Product Marketing Manager with deep technical expertise who will be dedicated to positioning MongoDB with developers up through IT Decision Makers. This person will need the technical depth, messaging sophistication, and product marketing experience to support our go-to-market activities in support of our developer data platform across capabilities including MongoDB Atlas, Enterprise Advanced, Vector Search, Stream Processing, and more.

In this role, you will be in an exciting position to capitalize on MongoDB’s popularity with developers while growing our mindshare to further establish MongoDB as the preferred data platform for building modern applications. You’ll be a member of a high-performing, globally distributed team dedicated to giving developers a best-in-class experience. And you’ll work closely with an exceptional group of cross-functional peers across the rest of Marketing, Product Management, our extensive technology and go-to-market Partners network, and more.

Position Expectations/Role Responsibilities/What You’ll Do...

  • Strategize and Execute - Collaborate with our Marketing, Developer Relations, Product Management, Partner Marketing, and Sales Enablement teams to create and execute the strategic and tactical plan to strengthen MongoDB’s position as a market leader and preferred data platform for organizations building innovative modern applications
  • Partner - Build relationships and execute high-value programs with third-party partners to evangelize MongoDB’s innovations to position MongoDB as the data platform of choice
  • Enable - Empower our Growth Marketing, Product-Led Growth, and Sales and Customer Success teams with the right technical positioning, messaging, and technical content that continues to build preference for MongoDB with our technical audiences
  • Build - Compelling technical content (e.g. end-to-end solutions, tutorials, demos, conference sessions) that prove to developers that MongoDB is an exceptional choice for their modern applications
  • Evangelize – Serve as a subject matter expert and drive awareness of MongoDB’s developer data platform with internal and external audiences, including representing MongoDB at events

Qualifications/Requirements/We’re Looking For Someone With…

  • Minimum of five years of experience in technical product marketing or product management for technologies targeted at developers. Other roles and experiences related to developer marketing may also be considered
  • Experience coding and building applications that use one or more top frameworks (React, Vue, Spring, Django, Entity, Ruby on Rails, Langchain, etc ) - and the confidence to do a lightweight coding interview with one of our engineers
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, and the ability to lead with a point of view and create high-quality technical content (end-to-end solution stories, demos, tutorials, etc) under tight deadlines
  • Demonstrated success in positioning industry-leading products and solutions, with the creative and analytical horsepower to do so
  • A low ego-to-talent ratio and collaborative spirit
  • Location: North America

  • You have a degree in Computer Science or have completed a coding bootcamp
  • You have worked for a database, developer tools, or cloud provider previously

MongoDB’s base salary range for this role is posted below. Compensation at the time of offer is unique to each candidate and based on a variety of factors such as skill set, experience, qualifications, and work location. Salary is one part of MongoDB’s total compensation and benefits package. Other benefits for eligible employees may include: equity, participation in the employee stock purchase program, flexible paid time off, 20 weeks fully-paid gender-neutral parental leave, fertility and adoption assistance, 401(k) plan, mental health counseling, access to transgender-inclusive health insurance coverage, and health benefits offerings. Please note, the base salary range listed below and the benefits in this paragraph are only applicable to U.S.-based candidates.

MongoDB’s base salary range for this role in the U.S. is:
$104,000$204,000 USD
