Octane Lending is currently hiring an IT Operations Engineer II for their New York city office. This is an on-site role. This person will be responsible for providing senior technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, or software. Experience with Azure AD or JumpCloud, Google G-Suite, on-boarding and off-boarding employees, isolating problems, and implementing solutions. You will work directly with the internal IT team, external vendors and manufacturers to discover and communicate technical solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software necessary for daily operations of business functions.
    • Examples include: laptops, printers and fax machines, anti-malware, end-user management software, operating system images, and peripherals such as headsets and speakers.
  • Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries either in person or over slack, or the phone for issues related to computer systems, network, software, and hardware.
  • Install, maintain, and monitor network hardware and establish network security best practices.
  • Gain feedback from employees about computer related issues and follow up with employees to ensure the issue has been resolved.
  • Engage with 3rd party vendors to determine root cause of problems when appropriate.
  • Run reports to catalog device health and other useful metrics.
  • Assist with the capture and resolution of IT support issues from IT support channels
  • Assist in creating and maintaining IT internal/partner support Runbooks, and employee support documentation
  • Manage the on-boarding and off-boarding of employees
  • Participate in a 24 x 7 on-call escalation rotation

Qualifications:

  • AA or College degree, Bachelor’s preferred or equivalent certifications with experience.
    • A+ or equivalent
    • Network+/CCNA or equivalent
    • Microsoft certifications preferred
  • 4+ years of experience in technology.
  • Experience with IT Helpdesk functions, ticketing systems (Zendesk), and managing devices with Mobile Device Management platforms (JumpCloud, Intune)
  • Experience with Microsoft and Apple software products such as Windows, Office, MacOS, iPhone and Android Tablets and phones.
  • Experience configuring and managing networks with enterprise equipment (Unifi, Meraki)
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical hardware problems: PC Headsets and microphones, other peripherals, conference room and AV equipment
  • Experience with enterprise software - Windows and MacOS, anti-malware, VPNs
  • Experience with Azure Active Directory, Jumpcloud, or another Identity Provider system
  • Fundamental Powershell, bash, shell scripting experience, or experience with graphical automation tools (UIPath, tray.io)
  • Solution-oriented attitude, professionalism, and a willingness to learn

Compensation:

The role described above offers a base salary of $65,000 to $75,000. Your offer will be based on the alignment of your qualifications with the requirements of the job and internal equity. In addition to the above-mentioned salary, Total Rewards include a stock option package, and benefits as outlined below.
