We operate in dynamic, high-visibility environments, including dense urban offices and major events where discretion, credibility, and sound judgment are essential. The Corporate Security team works closely with Real Estate & Workplace, Legal, Communications, HR, IT, and external partners to maintain a proactive and people-first security posture.
About the Role
The CorpSec Operations Program Manager plays a critical role in the advancement, coordination, and maturity of OpenAI’s global corporate security operations. This position is responsible for managing and designing scalable, cross-functional programs that protect OpenAI’s people, facilities, and critical infrastructure.
This role requires exceptional organizational and program management skills, strong cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to simultaneously lead multiple complex initiatives. The position focuses on building and refining operational standards, developing scalable programs, and ensuring consistent execution across OpenAI’s Corporate Security Operations pillars: Security Technology Systems, International Operations, Resilience, Data Centers, and Utility Personnel. The role reports directly to the Head of Operations within the Corporate Security organization.
In this role you will:
Lead the development and global implementation of Corporate Security operational programs, runbooks, SOPs, and decision-making frameworks.
Oversee and coordinate initiatives across all Operations Group pillars, ensuring seamless communication, accountability, and documentation.
Manage multiple high-impact projects simultaneously, ensuring milestones are met and outcomes are aligned with strategic security and business objectives.
Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for security operations programs to ensure accountability and continuous improvement.”

Partner with internal teams, Legal, REW, IT, People, and Communications, to ensure operational readiness, compliance, and integration with organizational priorities.
Lead the creation and refinement of standards for vendor selection, contract guard force operations, and SLAs to drive quality, accountability, and regulatory compliance.
Collaborate with the Resilience Group on crisis management, business continuity, and incident response program enhancements, including training and exercise development.
Support Data Center physical security initiatives, ensuring alignment with infrastructure protection requirements and cross-functional coordination.
Develop and manage documentation, communications, and training materials that strengthen awareness, preparedness, and operational consistency.
Identify and drive opportunities to scale and improve operational efficiency through process optimization and technology integration.
Contribute to the development of a resilient, inclusive, and high-performing security culture by mentoring team members and reinforcing best practices.
Support CorpSec Operations through procurement coordination ensuring timely acquisition of goods and services, accurate documentation, and alignment with internal financial policies.

Travel domestically and internationally as needed to support CorpSec programs, global site initiatives, and cross-functional coordination across OpenAI’s offices and partner locations.
You Might Thrive in This Role If You Have:
7+ years of relevant experience in security operations, program management, or a related discipline within corporate, government, or high-technology environments.
Proven experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder programs that span geographies and disciplines.
Strong understanding of physical security systems, vendor management, and operational governance frameworks.
Demonstrated success developing and implementing SOPs and operational standards for diverse teams.
Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities, timelines, and deliverables with precision and accountability.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of influencing and aligning cross-functional partners.
Experience leading initiatives related to crisis management, resilience planning, or business continuity is highly desirable.
A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to anticipate challenges, manage ambiguity, and deliver results independently.
A people-first approach to leadership and a commitment to fostering inclusion, mentorship, and operational excellence.
A high level of proficiency in Google Workspace.
