About Rebuild
America in the 21st Century has seen an increase in frequency and intensity of natural disasters. Communities are dramatically changed in the matter of a few hours, and homeowners can be displaced from their homes for years.
Rebuild is an operating system for restoration contractors who specialize in mitigating damage to homes and rebuilding them after disasters hit. Our initial product enables contractors to generate insurance-compliant estimates in just minutes, allowing them to get reimbursed properly, get to more jobs, and repair more homes. This is just our first step toward improving the everyday efficiency of these contractors. Climate change drives over $210 billion in annual property damage, and Rebuild is tackling the massive opportunity to help estimators move more efficiently and accurately.
About the Role
We ended 2025 beating our revenue targets and closing our Seed round. Our customers include some of the largest restoration companies in the country. Our engineering team is doubling in 2026, and we want one of those seats to go to someone early in their career who is ready to grow fast in a high-trust, high-output environment.
This is a real engineering role, not a support ticket queue. You'll work directly alongside our senior engineers and founders, ship features that reach real users quickly, and develop expertise across our full stack. If you're the kind of person who learns by doing and wants to compress five years of growth into two, this is that opportunity.
What We're Looking For
We care more about how you think and how hard you push yourself than how many years you've been coding. That said, you should have solid fundamentals in JavaScript and a genuine curiosity for how things work under the hood, some experience with React whether through personal projects, coursework, or early professional work, and strong written and verbal communication skills. We move fast and clarity matters. You should have a bias toward action, meaning you ship, get feedback, and iterate. Mobile experience is a bonus, but not required.
Our ideal candidate thinks in first principles, is comfortable being uncomfortable, and embraces AI-assisted development as a core part of their workflow, not as a shortcut, but as a multiplier.
What You'll Do
- You'll build and ship features across voice and vision technologies as part of our next major product push, own tasks and tickets end-to-end with a high standard of quality and follow-through, and ramp quickly on our codebase to develop real depth in specific domains.
- You'll collaborate closely with senior engineers and learn from direct, candid feedback every day.
- We also want your perspective on how to do things better, so bring your ideas.
