Ro is a direct-to-patient healthcare company with a mission of helping patients achieve their health goals by delivering the easiest, most effective care possible. Ro is the only company to offer nationwide telehealth, labs, and pharmacy services. This is enabled by Ro's vertically integrated platform that helps patients achieve their goals through a convenient, end-to-end healthcare experience spanning from diagnosis, to delivery of medication, to ongoing care. Since 2017, Ro has helped millions of patients, including one in every county in the United States, and in 98% of primary care deserts.
Ro has been recognized as a Fortune Best Workplace in New York and Health Care for four consecutive years (2021-2024). In 2023, Ro was also named Best Workplace for Parents for the third year in a row. In 2022, Ro was listed as a CNBC Disruptor 50.
Join Ro’s Information Technology Operations team as our IT Employee Lifecycle Manager (Onboarding & Offboarding). Equal parts architect, educator, and customer-service champion, you’ll own the employee technology journey - from offer letter to exit, balancing deep technical chops with process mapping, crisp communication, patience, and empathy. You’ll work with a team of experts to design, build, and refine zero-touch device provisioning, training, initial access, and enablement pipelines that let new Ro’ers contribute on Day 1 and depart cleanly on Day N, while guiding them through every step in plain language. Partnering with Security, People, and Clinical Platform teams, you’ll deliver a zero-friction, human-centered experience for our hybrid-remote staff.
This is a hybrid role, requiring the employee to be onsite 2 days per week.

What You’ll Do:

  • Own and elevate IT onboarding end-to-end. Design lean workflows, curate the right tools and vendors, and use data to get every new joiner productive, compliant, and patient-ready from day one.
  • Set the content strategy for IT onboarding - publish concise runbooks, videos, and self-service guides that turn dense processes into frictionless tasks for every new Ro hire.
  • Manage device logistics strategy and expand vendor capabilities for warehousing and international delivery
  • Identify friction in onboarding workflows and collaborate with IT Engineering to optimize the new hire experience
  • Foster cross-functional partnerships with Security, People and department leaders
  • Run Day 1 with a launch mindset: gather feedback, prioritize and roll out fixes, and continually elevate the onboarding experience.
  • Instrument the employee journey with dashboards and alerts that surface friction in real time.
  • Teach and mentor junior support staff, spreading best practices across the org.
  • Handle L3 escalations with empathy, then fold fixes back into docs and automations so the help desk never repeats itself.

What You’ll Bring to the Team:

  • 7-9 years in IT Engineering or IT Operations, scaling lifecycle operations for employees and contractors
  • Strong project management chops: you juggle calendars, vendors, and ever-shifting priorities without dropping the ball
  • Familiar with Okta IAM and SSO administration; lifecycle rules are second nature.
  • Experience with zero-touch device deployments (macOS and Windows) and MDM controls
  • Experience creating enablement content - written, video, and live in a clear, patient style.
  • Curiosity for where the process squeaks; obsession with smoothing it out.
  • Ability to spot the missing smile in a new hire’s Zoom call.
  • Plays well with security, People, and clinicians alike; patient-first mindset.

We’ve Got You Covered:

  • Full medical, dental, and vision insurance + OneMedical membership
  • Healthcare and Dependent Care FSA
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Flexible PTO
  • Wellbeing + Learning & Growth stipends
  • Paid parental leave + Fertility benefits
  • Pet insurance
  • Student loan refinancing
  • Virtual resources for mindfulness, counseling, and fitness
